The team’s vision is to be the trusted source of high-quality financial information for subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with all regulations and providing valuable insights to support strategic decision making. This 5-person team focuses on the accurate and timely financial reporting for subsidiaries. More specifically, the team is responsible for:
Regulatory and compliance reporting: Preparing and filing all required reports for subsidiaries, including those for tax authorities and regulators
Ad hoc requests: Responding to ad hoc requests for financial information from internal and external stakeholders, such as management, banks and legal counsel
Data Analysis and insights: Analyzing financial data to identify risks and opportunities for improvement within subsidiaries
As an Intern, Investment Finance Transversal Initiatives and Subsidiaries you’ll:
Assist in the preparation of financial statements
Assist in the preparation of regular reports on key performance indicators, financial results in and other metrics
Conduct research on industries and sectors for investment related questions
Gather data from various sources and accurately entering it into reports
Organize and maintain electronic files
Assist in reconciliations
Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Accounting
Ability to navigate a fast-paced environment with a high level of autonomy
Attention to detail and accuracy as well as a rigorous approach to research, analysis and documentation
Ability to work collaboratively, cultivating meaningful relationships with colleagues and clients
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Proficiency in excel and other data analysis tools
Must return to studies after the internship or the internship must be part of your curriculum
Proficiency in English and French (or willingness to learn) (frequent interactions in English with PSP employees based in our offices in Hong Kong, London and New York, and interactions in French with employees in our local offices in Montreal and Ottawa)
