IFF Systems Engineer

Job Description
We seek a motivated and positive minded Engineer to work as a System Engineer/Electrical engineer in our cross functional, multi-disciplined team. This contract provides a wide range of technical services in developing and maintaining Identification Systems (IDS) in support of our Navy customer.
The selected candidate will provide design, test and evaluation support for the customer, developing technical solutions for complex shipboard Interrogator Systems. Tasking will entail requirements development, design of electronics equipment for military systems application, system to platform integration, system performance investigation and resolution, and DOD AIMS certification planning and execution. Will participate in programmatic and technical interchange meetings and support development of work breakdown structures and project schedules, review of technical documents, development of requirements and validation of system performance. This tasking will require working within an interdisciplinary working group of acquisition, engineering, system integration, configuration management/logistics, technical professionals, and systems integration staff.
This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in the St. Mary's County Technology Corridor adjacent to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station.
Some relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidate. Applicants must be currently residing in or willing to relocate to St. Mary's County, Maryland or surrounding areas.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
Minimum of 6 years of experience designing and/or test of electronic systems
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Experience with IFF interrogator/transponder system design, test, and evaluation
Experience developing and deriving system requirements.
Experience developing test plans/procedures, running tests, collecting and organizing test data, and writing test reports
Experience managing and addressing technical warrant holder and MIL STD requirements
Experience coordinating with program sponsors in identification and program scope of tasking, and supporting program reviews
Experience in development of project work breakdown structures (WBS) and project schedule development
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $95106 - $161680

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
