Job SummaryOur Toronto office is seeking a Hydraulic Modeler to join our Hydraulics and Infrastructure Planning Team. Focusing on System Capacity Assessments and Hydraulic Modelling (Wastewater primarily, but potentially also water and/or stormwater), Servicing Needs Assessments, GIS Data Review, Development Engineering (Site Plan) Support, Detailed Design Support (Pumping Stations and Linear Works), Integration with our SCADA team, Asset Management, Capital Project Planning, Class Environmental Assessments, and other related services.Responsibilities & QualificationsDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support Hydraulic and Hydrologic Modelling of wastewater networks. Experience with water distribution modelling is not required, but would also be a valuable asset
Support Infrastructure Planning Studies including: Master Plans, Secondary Plans and Class Environmental Assessments
Provide various technical responsibilities based on your background and experience ranging from municipal engineering analysis and design support, servicing needs assessments and servicing capacity evaluation.
Assist in mechanical system design, including pumps, valves, and facilities.
Administer small engineering projects and assist with the management of larger engineering projects.
Provide project support and leadership duties.
Participate in proposal writing and project/task scope development.
QUALIFICATIONS (INCLUDING EDUCATION and/or JOB EXPERIENCE):
Minimum 2 years of experience and expertise with modeling software. Software platforms include InfoWorks ICM, InfoSewer, SewerGEMS. Experience with InfoWater, WaterGEMS, and other platforms would be an additional asset
2-D modelling expertise (dual-drainage systems) is an additional asset
ESRI ArcGIS expertise
Strong hydraulic and hydrologic analysis capabilities.
Engineering Degree
TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $67,000-$92,000 annually for this position and local market.
