Job title: Director of Human Resources, Baie d’Urfé manufacturing facility

Location: Baie d’Urfé, Québec, Canada

Position summary:

Reporting to the Global Head of Human Resources Operations, you will act as coach and Human Resources (HR) subject matter expert for our Dermo-Cosmetics manufacturing facility in Baie d’Urfé Canada. You will be accountable for providing HR leadership in all key HR areas with a focus on providing a flawless execution of the full employee lifecycle including organizational development, workforce planning and driving transformation.

As HR Director, you will be responsible for implementing the site HR strategic direction and guidance in all aspects of people management, in close partnership with the HR Centers of Excellence and wider HR Community, as well as with the site leadership team to ensure that business strategy is aligned and embedded in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

•   You represent the HR strategy and policies at the manufacturing site, including providing understanding and enabling alignment between HR and the function leaders

•    You implement HR initiatives locally to promote the business strategy such as but not limited to culture, employee engagement, performance management, talent management and development, and total rewards

•    As a director, you partner with the Shared Service Teams, providing input where possible and ensuring HR governance is maintained in addition you work closely with the HR Centers of Excellence to ensure that policies and processes are successfully embedded within your functions

•    You create, develop, and promote the process of continuous improvement with the aim to reduce cost, improve quality and increase efficiency

•    Ensuring compliance with statutory duties, regulation, and legislation is part of your activities, to meet with and integrate organizational needs for quality management, health, and safety, legal, Code of Business Ethics, environmental policies, and general duty of care

•    As a strong relationship builder, you act as a business partner and foster a strong partnership with key leaders and interface with HR Leaders and the site’s employee reprsesentatives to ensure full insight and high level of business acumen to create HR tactical plans that enable the businesses to fulfil their goals and drive growth

Skills & Qualifications:

•    You have extensive knowledge from working as a Senior HR business partner or site lead in an international and matrix environment for an innovative manufacturing site (it is a plus to bring exposure in the Cosmetics and/or Pharmaceutical industry)

•    You have demonstrated experience in driving strategic programs, change management with the capacity to lead through influence

•    You have a knowledge of working effectively in a multicultural environment typically gained through regional roles and/or location in foreign countries

•    As a natural project planner, you are highly organized, have an ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines, and demonstrate composure and resiliency in times of uncertainty and under stress

•    You acquired an excellent knowledge of Social Security, Labor Law, and Employee Relations applicable to Canada/

•    You are fluent in French and English

•    You have a university degree in Human Resources, Social Science, Business Administration, or any other relevant field
