This Position reports to:

ELSP/ELSB Marketing & Sales Director
 

As an HR Business Partner (HRBP) within the Electrification low voltage and medium voltage divisions, you will report to the division managers of Canada,  and  be a part of the executive management team acting as a strategic partner to the leadership team, providing HR expertise and support to drive business objectives. You will have the opportunity to develop and implement people strategies in line with business goals, fostering a positive work environment, and ensuring the effective implementation of HR policies and programs.

 

You will provide HR support by partnering with respective managers. You will showcase your expertise by representing HR in the business and establishing strong relationships with all business leaders and employees.
The work model for the role is:  hybrid

This position reports to: ELSP, ELSB, M&S & ELDS leaders
You will be mainly accountable for:

 

  • Partner with leadership to align HR strategies with business goals, building and promoting HR pillars and priorities for the Electrification business in line with overall strategic direction.

  • Oversee talent acquisition, development, and retention efforts by identifying capability needs, coordinating training programs, and ensuring the sales organization has the skills required for current and future success.

  • Cultivate a positive and inclusive work environment by addressing employee concerns, resolving conflicts, and promoting a culture of open communication and engagement.

  • Ensure strong HR delivery and value creation by supporting all stages of the employee lifecycle, collaborating with functional teams and Shared Services, and executing key HR processes that add measurable business impact.

  • Strengthen organizational performance and compliance by monitoring HR metrics, driving change‑management and continuous‑improvement initiatives, and ensuring adherence to local labor laws, ABB policies, and employee‑relations best practices.


Qualifications for the role

 

  • You enjoy working with employees from coast to coast and have experience supporting all levels of management in an organization

  • You have at least 10+ years of experience in HR, with at least 10 years in a strategic partnership role

  • You have experience in change management and supporting teams through change

  • You are passionate about employee wellness & well-being, career development and talent advancement

  • You have strong knowledge of HR best practices and local labor laws

  • Proven experience in working in a large global organization and collaborating with functions and Shared Services. Experience in a sales or commercial environment is an asset.

  • Membership to order of CRHA, CRIA or CHRP is an asset

  • Proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written. French is required. English is also required to regularly communicate with clients outside Quebec.
