Role Overview

We are seeking a results-driven and strategically-minded Business Development Director to lead Trust Wallet’s partnership ecosystem. In this pivotal role, you will identify, negotiate, and execute high-impact strategic alliances with key players across the Fintech and Web3 landscape and beyond, directly driving user growth, business innovation, and market leadership.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Partnerships
  • Cultivate strategic alliances with blockchain partners and decentralized applications and use cases to boost Trust Wallet’s market visibility and user engagement.

  • Proactively connect with Web3 and fintech ecosystems, including dApps, protocols, developer communities, and venture capitalists, to position Trust Wallet as the leading wallet solution.

  • Manage the complete partnership lifecycle, from targeted outreach and expert negotiation to successful deal closure and sustained collaboration.

Strategic Planning & Market Intelligence
  • Formulate and implement a robust business development strategy to accelerate user acquisition and revenue growth by conducting in-depth analyses of competitors, upstream and downstream partners, and the dynamic Web3 landscape.

  • Evaluate the performance of BD initiatives through rigorous impact analysis, collect actionable feedback, and leverage data-driven insights to optimize growth strategies.

  • Partner with leadership to prioritize high-impact opportunities, delivering strategic insights and regular updates to the CEO on BD performance, market trends, competitor activities, technological advancements, and regulatory shifts.

Team Leadership and Influence
  • Guide and mentor the BD teammate as it expands, setting clear goals, prioritizing high-impact initiatives, and fostering a culture of professional growth.

  • Relay partner feedback to the product team to uncover new opportunities and develop compelling business cases.

  • Partner with product, marketing, content, and developer relations teams to drive partner success and promote Trust Wallet’s developer-centric initiatives.

  • Optimize and streamline BD processes to enhance efficiency and scalability.

Requirements
  • 5–7 years of business development experience, ideally in fintech, cryptocurrency, or hyper-growth tech sectors.

  • Proven track record of identifying, negotiating, and closing high-value deals that drive user and revenue growth.

  • Established network within the Web3 ecosystem, including dApps, protocols, liquidity providers, and venture capitalists.

  • Bilingual English/Mandarin is required to be able to coordinate with overseas partners and stakeholders.

Web3 & Commercial Acumen
  • Deep knowledge of the crypto and blockchain ecosystem, including trends, emerging technologies, and growth models.

  • Comprehensive understanding of Trust Wallet’s product suite, competitive positioning, and strategic role in the crypto space.

  • Strong business judgment with the ability to articulate compelling value propositions in the Web3 domain.

Strategic Communication & Partnership Development
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills for high-stakes environments.

  • Proven ability to build and nurture long-term, strategic relationships.

Analytical Rigor & Innovative Growth Strategy
  • Advanced strategic thinking and analytical skills to identify market opportunities and drive data-informed decisions.

  • Data-savvy with a practical understanding of marketing and operational metrics to measure growth strategies.

  • Creative and resourceful mindset to develop innovative business models and explore new growth avenues.

Leadership and Influence
  • Proven ability to influence and mentor teams, set and achieve goals, and prioritize initiatives.

  • Ambitious, results-focused, and capable of working independently while being a collaborative team player.
