Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

Design:

  • Establish the project concept and architecture from an electrical perspective.
  • Define the specifications, physical aspect, performance, limitations and sequences.
  • Select the components taking into account the budget and requirements of the specifications.

Project execution:

  • Enter electrical plans based on the determined design and architecture.
  • Establish the electrical requirements for the printed circuit.
  • Supervise the design of the printed circuit.

Verification:

  • Coordinate the design and architectural verification of the project from an electrical point of view.
  • Review the list of components.
  • Verify drawings and electrical constraints.
  • Inspect PCB placement and routing.

Test:

  • Prepare the electrical and environmental test plan for the electronic board.
  • Coordinate electrical, thermal, optical, shock/vibration and EMC testing.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in electronic design.
  • Functional knowledge of French and English, written and spoken.
  • Knowledge of electrical schematics.
  • Knowledge of existing electronic components.
  • Ability to use various laboratory equipment.
  • Ability to use CAD tools.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • This position requires working on projects with several   business units and communication with internal clients outside of Québec

Responsabilités :

Conception :

  • Établir le concept et l’architecture du projet du point de vue électrique.
  • Définir les spécifications, l’aspect physique, les performances, les limitations et les séquences.
  • Sélectionner les composantes en tenant compte du budget et requis du cahier de charge.

Réalisation de projet :

  • Effectuer l’entrée des schémas électriques selon le design et l’architecture établi.
  • Établir les contraintes électriques nécessaires à la réalisation du circuit imprimé.
  • Superviser la conception du circuit imprimé.

Vérification :

  • Coordonner les vérifications de conception et architecture du projet du point de vue électrique.
  • Réviser la liste des composantes.
  • Vérifier les schémas et contraintes électriques.
  • Inspecter le placement et le routage du circuit imprimé.

Test :

  • Préparer le plan de test électrique et environnemental de la carte électronique.
  • Coordonné les tests électriques, thermiques, optiques, chocs/vibrations et EMCs.

Qualifications:

  • Baccalauréat en génie électrique ou équivalent.
  • Minimum de 5 années d’expérience de travail en conception électronique.
  • Connaissance fonctionnelle du français et de l’anglais, écrit et parlé.
  • Connaissance des schémas électriques.
  • Connaissances des composantes électroniques existantes.
  • Capacité d’utiliser les différents équipements de laboratoire.
  • Capacité d’utiliser des outils de CAO.
  • Capacité de travailler en équipe.
  • Ce poste implique une collaboration et une communication avec plusieurs unités d'affaires  et des clients internes à l'extérieur du Québec.
