🌟 What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a GTM Lead who will design how Makeship acquires, converts, grows, and retains Creators, and who will prove what works through testing, data, and real-world application. This is a foundational, high-visibility role for someone who thinks in systems and journeys, and who is energized by turning a working approach into a repeatable one the whole organization can run on.

We are looking for a leader who can design what our commercial motion should do and how it should behave, then translate it into systems, enablement, and team behaviour. You’ll have access to our best-in-class tech stack to implement and measure your approach. As our GTM Lead, you will work primarily across Partnerships, RevOps, and Marketing Reporting directly to the VP of Revenue, you will own the GTM methodology and journey design as we expand into new product categories and new markets.

🚀 Your Key Responsibilities

  • GTM methodology and journey design: Design and evolve our GTM methodology across acquisition, conversion, repeat business, expansion, and reactivation.
    • Refine the stages, behaviours, decision points, and next-best actions across the Creator journey.
    • Build repeatable approaches for qualification, discovery, pitching, follow-up, negotiation, and re-engagement, and adapt these plays for different Creator segments, verticals, products, and opportunity types.

  • Storytelling & talk tracks: Turn our business model, performance data, Creator outcomes, and capabilities into simple, compelling stories.
    • Build data-led talk tracks and proof points that articulate why Makeship, why now, and the right approach for each Creator.
    • Develop and continuously improve the decks, case study insights, discovery frameworks, and objection handling that support those stories.

  • Experimentation & optimization: Identify the highest-value opportunities to improve conversion, velocity, repeat business, and Creator outcomes.
    • Test hypotheses across messaging, sequencing, qualification, follow-up, and journey design.
    • Use performance data and frontline feedback to understand what works, where momentum breaks down, and what to change.

  • Operationalization: Translate GTM strategy and journey design into clear RevOps and business requirements.
    • Own and prioritize the GTM-driven RevOps roadmap based on business impact, defining the logic behind required pipelines, workflows, automation, dashboards, alerts, and reporting.
    • Partner with RevOps through implementation to ensure systems reinforce the intended journey and behaviours.

  • Enablement & adoption: Turn methodology into practical playbooks, templates, talk tracks, examples, and decision guides.
    • Partner with Partnerships leadership to embed new plays and approaches into the team, and evolve enablement based on performance, experimentation, and team feedback.
  • Additional
    • Other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time

🧠 What You Bring

  • 7+ years of experience designing GTM methodology, sales plays, or customer journey logic for a two-sided business; where success depends on both a B2B partner’s engagement (creators, sellers, merchants) and D2C outcomes downstream (fans, buyers, end customers).
  • A track record of proving out new approaches through testing and data, then translating what works into systems, and repeatable team behaviour.
  • Strong storytelling instincts; you can turn business performance and data into simple, compelling narratives that a team can actually use in the field.
  • Experience partnering with RevOps or a systems/tooling function to translate strategy into pipelines, workflows, automation, and reporting.
  • Excellent cross-functional leadership skills; you can influence and drive adoption across Partnerships, RevOps, and Marketing without needing direct authority over all of them.

👀 Bonus

  • Experience in the creator economy, crowdfunding, or merchandise/apparel industries.
  • Experience building a GTM or enablement function from the ground up inside a scaling startup.
  • Familiarity with limited-edition, scarcity-driven, or pre-order commerce models.
  • Experience designing journeys or plays across multiple customer or partner segments simultaneously.
