ABOUT KEYBANK COMMERCIAL

KeyBank Commercial is a leading financial institution that empowers middle market companies with access to capital, innovative financial solutions, and technology-driven services. Through comprehensive offerings in commercial cards, merchant services, and modern fintech solutions, we help businesses optimize their cash flow and liquidity management. Our strength lies in our relationship-driven approach, where dedicated teams of industry experts work collaboratively to develop customized financial strategies. Our ideas- and solutions-based approach is backed by best-in-class products and services, including Key’s comprehensive capital markets, investment banking, and wealth management capabilities.

JOB OVERVIEW

Our Commercial Bank Go-To-Market (GTM) Team is responsible for bringing KeyBank’s content strategy to life — spanning both external-facing deliverables (like thought leadership, speaking sessions, and digital campaigns) as well as internal initiatives that align over 1,200 Commercial Bank employees. We are looking for a GTM Content Analyst to work closely with our GTM team, design partners, and internal stakeholders on the execution of internal communications, social media coordination, and end-to-end project management.

In this role, you will ensure that important updates, announcements, and content requests flow smoothly through our creative pipeline. You will craft engaging newsletters and internal messages that keep Commercial Bank employees informed, collaborate with our social media team to amplify Key’s brand externally, and track project requests to completion. This position is ideal for a self-starter who enjoys both creative writing and operational efficiency, and who wants to grow in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Internal Communications & Employee Engagement

  • Draft and distribute newsletters, organizational announcements, and product updates for internal audiences.

  • Gather success stories and highlight team wins that showcase the impact of KeyBank Commercial.

Social Media Coordination

  • Serve as the liaison to KeyBank’s social media team, creating or refining post copy and ensuring alignment with brand guidelines.

  • Monitor engagement metrics (likes, shares, impressions) and share insights to inform future content strategy.

Project Request Management

  • Triage and manage incoming content and design requests, assigning tasks to the appropriate team members or external vendors.

  • Monitor project timelines, anticipate bottlenecks, and proactively communicate status updates to stakeholders.

Content Collaboration

  • Assist senior content specialists with external thought leadership pieces, event recaps, and speaking session outlines when needed.

  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions and help execute smaller-scale copywriting tasks, ensuring consistent brand voice across channels.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Compile monthly metrics on internal comms performance (email open rates, internal feedback) and social engagement to track key successes and areas for improvement.

  • Provide data and analysis to GTM leadership for broader performance summaries and strategic planning.

Process Improvement & Team Support

  • Continuously look for ways to streamline workflows, document best practices, and enhance cross-functional collaboration.

  • Provide backup support on vendor coordination, meeting scheduling, and campaign logistics as needed.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of experience in communications, marketing, or content development, preferably within a B2B environment; experience in financial services or technology a plus.

  • Proven ability to write clear, concise, and engaging copy for internal audiences; experience with social media content or short-form marketing copy is highly desirable.

  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Workfront, Asana, Monday) and comfortable tracking multiple projects concurrently.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to partner effectively with cross-functional teams, including design, product marketing, and sales.

  • Keen eye for detail and commitment to maintaining high editorial standards.

  • Demonstrated organizational skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting.

  • Basic understanding of digital analytics (e.g., social metrics, newsletter open/click rates) to derive insights and inform content adjustments.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience considered.

  • Portfolio or writing samples showcasing internal communications, social posts, or other short-form B2B content is highly recommended.
