Location: North America (Remote) Reports To: Chief Product & Technology Officer (CPTO) Company: Private Equity Portfolio Company (HQ: New York City)

Overview

We are seeking a Global Tech Lead to drive the evolution of our Data Verification Platform, which powers identity and address verification for enterprise clients in regulated industries such as banking, insurance, and financial services. The platform delivers API-based and batch file verification against trusted reference data, enabling compliance with KYC, AML, and fraud prevention standards.

This role provides technical leadership, architectural direction, and product engineering oversight for two engineering teams based in France. You will define the technical roadmap, guide the product evolution, and ensure our data verification services are secure, scalable, and AI-enabled.

Key Responsibilities

● Lead the technical evolution of the Data Verification Platform – including API design, batch processing systems, and data reference integrations.

● Manage and mentor distributed engineering teams (France and India), ensuring engineering excellence and timely delivery.

● Provide technical leadership and architecture guidance across all layers of the platform.

● Collaborate with product and compliance teams to ensure KYC/AML use cases meet regulatory and client needs.

● Drive full-stack solution design and development, including front-end UX, API integrations, and data pipeline components.

● Champion AI-native development practices, embedding AI tools into the development lifecycle to accelerate delivery and innovation.

● Partner with security, DevOps, and data governance teams to ensure data protection, reliability, and auditability.

● Integrate acquired technologies and systems post-M&A into the unified data verification platform.

Required Qualifications

● Bilingual: Fluent in English and French (spoken and written).

● Technical Leadership: 7+ years of experience leading global or distributed software engineering teams.

● Architecture & Design: Proven experience designing scalable API and data processing systems for enterprise clients.

● Full-Stack Expertise:

○ Front-end: Angular (or similar modern frameworks)

○ Back-end: Java or Scala

● Domain Experience: Background in data verification, identity validation, KYC/AML, or fraud prevention solutions.

● AI Advocacy: Demonstrated belief in and experience with AI-native development workflows (beyond Copilot usage).

● Strong communication and leadership skills, with experience collaborating across multicultural and multilingual teams.

Preferred Qualifications

● Familiarity with data matching algorithms, address normalization, or entity resolution.

● Experience with microservices architectures, cloud-native infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

● Understanding of data security, PII handling, and regulatory compliance frameworks.

● Hands-on experience with DevOps tools such as Terraform and Kubernetes.

● Prior involvement in post-M&A technology integrations.

Why Join Us

● Lead the development of a mission-critical data verification product used by top-tier financial institutions.

● Shape how AI transforms enterprise-grade verification and compliance software.

● Join a dynamic, global team in a private equity-backed company with an ambitious M&A growth strategy.

● Build next-generation data services that sit at the intersection of data, compliance, and AI innovation.
