Nous sommes à la recherche d’un(e) gestionnaire, finances et comptabilité qui assumera la responsabilité des opérations financières, de la comptabilité et de la préparation des états financiers de l’entité canadienne de Xona, établie à Montréal. En étroite collaboration avec le gestionnaire des opérations ainsi qu’avec l’équipe des opérations financières de Burlingame, en Californie, la personne titulaire du poste contribuera à mettre en place une infrastructure et des processus financiers capables de soutenir la forte croissance de Xona Canada.

La personne recherchée possède une expérience concrète dans la mise en œuvre de processus comptables soutenant les activités d’approvisionnement et de logistique au sein d’entreprises en phase d’expansion rapide.

À mesure que l’équipe montréalaise de Xona prendra de l’ampleur, ce poste pourrait évoluer vers un rôle de contrôleur(e) financier(ère), selon l’expérience et les intérêts de la personne retenue.

Vos responsabilités

  • Assumer la responsabilité des activités de clôture financière mensuelle et annuelle, notamment la préparation des écritures de journal et le rapprochement des comptes, afin de soutenir les exigences de conformité et la préparation des audits.

  • Gérer l’ensemble du cycle comptable des dépenses, de leur enregistrement jusqu’à la clôture, en veillant à la tenue adéquate des dossiers et à l’exécution des rapprochements pour l’entité canadienne de Xona.

  • Assumer la gestion des comptes fournisseurs et des comptes clients, en veillant au traitement rapide des paiements en coordination avec les fournisseurs externes et les autres parties prenantes.

  • Participer à la gestion d’activités financières d’envergure en collaboration avec l’équipe des opérations, notamment la comptabilité analytique, le suivi budgétaire, les prévisions financières et la production de rapports financiers.

  • Appliquer et soutenir les pratiques comptables intersociétés et multisites afin d’assurer le respect des politiques de prix de transfert.

  • Collaborer avec les gestionnaires de programmes et les représentants gouvernementaux externes afin de comptabiliser adéquatement les revenus et les jalons contractuels.

Qualifications requises

  • Baccalauréat en comptabilité, en finance ou dans un domaine connexe.

  • Minimum de quatre (4) années d’expérience en opérations financières ou dans un domaine similaire.

  • Expérience touchant plusieurs fonctions comptables acquise au sein de jeunes entreprises ou d’entreprises en croissance de petite ou moyenne taille.

  • Bonne compréhension des principes et pratiques comptables généralement reconnus (PCGR) au Canada et aux États-Unis.

  • Connaissance de QuickBooks ou d’un progiciel de gestion intégré (PGI) comparable.

We’re seeking a Finance and Accounting Manager to take ownership of financial operations, accounting, and financial statements for Xona’s Montreal-based Canadian entity. Working in-tandem with the Operations Manager and the Burlingame, California Financial Operations team, the Finance and Accounting Manager will work to position Xona Canada’s financial infrastructure and processes for high-growth scalability. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in establishing accounting processes that support logistical procurement in scale-up environments.

As Xona’s Montreal team grows to scale, this role has the potential to evolve into a financial controllership position, depending on experience and interest.

What You’ll Do

  • Own month-end and year-end close activities including journal entries and account reconciliations in support of compliance and audit preparation

  • Own accounting pathways from expense to capture to close, ensuring appropriate recordkeeping and reconciliation is completed for Xona’s Canadian entity

  • Own accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring payments are processed in a timely manner with coordination from our external vendors and stakeholders

  • Assist in the management of large-scope financial operations, coordinating with the Operations team for cost accounting, budget tracking, forecasting, and financial reporting

  • Enforce and support multi-location, inter-entity accounting practices to ensure transfer pricing protocols are respected

  • Coordinate with program managers and external governmental contacts to accurately recognize revenue and contract milestones

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field

  • 4+ years of experience in financial operations, or a similar field

  • Exposure to a variety of accounting functions through experience in small to mid-sized Startups

  • Understanding of fundamental accounting principles and practices (GAAP) in Canada and the United States

  • Familiarity and exposure to QuickBooks, or similar ERPs

Desired Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize in a dynamic, fast-growth scale-up environment

  • Interest and exposure to aerospace, satellite systems, or technology-driven industries is highly desirable

  • Experience with ASC 606 Revenue Recognition, particularly over-time revenue recognition

  • Experience with ERP implementation and cost accounting practices

For U.K. Roles: To comply with U.K. regulations, this role requires Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) checks, and successful candidates must be eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC).

For Canada Roles: Successful candidates must obtain and hold a security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
