Technology is the bedrock of Industrious' mission to redefine the workday. As a Full-Stack Software Engineer on our Marketing team, you won't just be coding features—you'll be the crucial link between our vision and the digital experience that attracts and converts our ideal audience.

This role is centered on engineering our public-facing web applications and building intelligent marketing automation systems that ensure we reach the right audience at the ideal moment. You will be instrumental in:

• Elevating Our Digital Front Door: Own the development and optimization of our high-traffic marketing web applications, including the company blog and critical landing pages, ensuring they are fast, resilient, and beautiful.

• Driving Growth Through Automation: Design and implement powerful automations that connect core systems, leveraging tools like HubSpot and Kafka to eliminate data silos and create seamless, data-driven marketing campaigns.

• Architecting for the Future: Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Engineering leadership to define the systems architecture and technology choices that will support Industrious’ next phase of growth and marketing strategy.

• Full-Stack Ownership: Take features from conception to deployment, comfortable switching between architecting Node.js/Express backends, optimizing MongoDB data models, and delivering responsive, component-based React user interfaces.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality features in a fast-paced, product-driven environment, focusing on scalability, resilience, and clean, maintainable code.

• Work collaboratively with the Marketing and Product teams, translating business goals into robust, well-documented technical solutions.

• Future-proof the software you deliver by minimizing built-in assumptions, thoroughly testing solutions, and respecting the challenges of operating critical systems in production.

• Spearhead the design and implementation of integrations between our core systems and critical marketing platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, Contentful).

What We're Looking For

• A passion for working across the entire application stack—you are excited about UI/UX, data modeling, and infrastructure design.

• 2+ years of professional experience building applications with React, Node.js, and NoSQL/Relational Databases (e.g., MongoDB).

• Demonstrated commitment to a work ethic based on clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.

• Experience or strong knowledge of distributed architectures and microservices in a web environment.

• Exceptional ability to articulate complex technical ideas to both technical peers and non-technical stakeholders.

Bonus Points if you have:

• Experience building custom integrations with marketing CRMs like HubSpot or Salesforce.

• Experience with Apache Kafka or other event-streaming platforms.

• Experience with Headless CMS solutions like Contentful.

• A curiosity about incorporating emerging technologies, including AI/ML, into marketing solutions.
