The Role

As a Forward Deployed Engineer – Product at Amini, you’ll champion the human experience of our software. You’ll work at the intersection of design, product, and engineering—crafting intuitive, impactful, and scalable tools that help users navigate complex data and make critical decisions. You’ll be part of a fast-paced, interdisciplinary team focused on building technology that addresses some of the most pressing global challenges.

Design at Amini is diverse and hands-on, on any day you might lead a design sprint with your product team, fine-tune micro-interactions to simplify complex analytical workflows, or establish reusable, consistent interface patterns across the platform.

What You’ll Do

Design end-to-end product experiences. From early ideation through final visuals, you’ll shape every aspect of a feature’s journey—defining user flows, designing interfaces, and refining interaction details

Drive user research. You'll conduct lightweight, goal-oriented research to understand user needs, uncover friction points, and inform product decisions—adapting methods based on the problem at hand

Prototype ideas quickly. Whether it's wireframes, interactive mockups, or click-through flows, you’ll prototype solutions to communicate vision and test usability

Collaborate deeply with engineers. You’ll work closely with software and deployment engineers to ensure your designs are feasible, performant, and polished—approaching engineering collaboration as a creative partnership

Shape a cohesive design system. You’ll contribute to building and evolving reusable interface components, ensuring consistency across the platform while allowing flexibility for diverse use cases

Understand the medium. While you won’t need to write production code, familiarity with technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or TypeScript will help you communicate with engineers and stay grounded in what’s technically possible

What We’re Looking For

• Strong technical foundation, ideally inComputer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or Data Science
• Proficiency in modern design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, etc.)
• Proven experience within software product design
• Comfort running user research informally and iteratively to inform and validate design decisions
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain design rationale to cross-functional stakeholders
• An iterative mindset—you're not afraid to test, fail, and refine
• Curiosity and initiative, with a desire to deeply understand user workflows, particularly in data-rich, analytical environments
• A flexible, proactive approach—you’re comfortable working in ambiguous spaces and wearing many hats
• Appreciation for mission-driven work and a desire to design tools that have a measurable real-world impact
• Ability to managemultiple projects simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines
• Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable, with a strong work ethic
• Strong collaboration skills, and the ability to work effectively across technical and non technical teams in fast-evolving environments
