Our Canadian operation, Canaccord Genuity Corp., is currently looking for an Investment Associate to join our team on a full-time permanent basis in our Montreal office. Reporting to the Senior Investment Advisor, the Financial Planners role is primarily responsible for ensuring clients are extremely satisfied with the service we provide, and that systems and processes are developed and maintained to support a growing business.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare comprehensive wealth plans to address client specific needs or concerns in the areas of financial, investment, retirement, risk management and estate planning;
    • Personalize each wealth plan to provide expert knowledge around challenges affecting emerging affluent clients, such as: holding companies, employee stock options, individual pension plans, retirement compensation agreements, charitable giving, etc.;
    • Analyze clients unique tax situations to provide strategies.
  • Deliver presentations to clients on specific topics related to fee-based investment solutions, estate planning solutions, and financial planning; and promoting plans to drive the business;
  • Trade execution;
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with clients in a team context.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Completion of the IQPF (Quebec Institute of Financial Planning) designation or working towards;
  • Completion of or willingness to complete LLQP (Life License Qualification Program) designation is an asset;
  • 3 years of relevant experience in all aspects of financial planning;
  • Investment and insurance industry knowledge is an asset;
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong presentation skills;
  • Ability to work effectively independently and in team environments;
  • Proven networking and client acquisition skills, with the ability to cultivate strong partner relationships;
  • Bilingual (oral and written) in English and French is required.

Notre division canadienne, Canaccord Genuity Corp., est actuellement à la recherche d’un Associé en placements pour joindre notre équipe à temps plein et de façon permanente dans notre bureau de Montréal. Relevant du Conseiller principal en placement, le rôle du Planificateur financier consiste principalement à assurer un niveau de satisfaction exceptionnel chez nos clients, et à veiller à ce que les systèmes et processus soient développés et maintenus afin de soutenir une entreprise en croissance.

Responsabilités :
  • Préparer des plans de gestion de patrimoine complets pour répondre aux besoins et préoccupations spécifiques des clients dans les domaines des finances, des placements, de la retraite, de la gestion des risques et de la planification successorale;

  • Personnaliser chaque plan de patrimoine en fournissant une expertise sur les enjeux touchant les clients en voie d’enrichissement, tels que : sociétés de portefeuille, options d’achat d’actions d’employés, régimes de retraite individuels, ententes de rémunération de retraite, dons de charité, etc.;

  • Analyser les situations fiscales uniques des clients afin de proposer des stratégies;

  • Offrir des présentations aux clients sur des sujets spécifiques liés aux solutions de placement à honoraires, aux solutions de planification successorale et à la planification financière; et promouvoir les plans pour soutenir la croissance de l’entreprise;

  • Exécuter des transactions;

  • Maintenir des relations continues avec les clients dans un contexte d’équipe.

Compétences et qualifications :
  • Obtention de la désignation IQPF (Institut québécois de planification financière) ou en voie de l’obtenir;

  • Obtention ou volonté de compléter la désignation LLQP (Programme de qualification en assurance-vie), un atout;

  • 3 années d’expérience pertinente en planification financière sous toutes ses facettes;

  • Connaissances de l’industrie des placements et de l’assurance, un atout;

  • Excellente maîtrise de Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);

  • Excellentes aptitudes en communication orale et écrite, ainsi que de solides compétences en présentation;

  • Capacité à travailler efficacement de manière autonome et en équipe;

  • Aptitudes éprouvées en réseautage et acquisition de clients, avec la capacité de développer de solides relations partenaires;

  • Bilinguisme (oral et écrit) en anglais et en français requis.
