Financial Data Analyst, Central Services (Contract)

PlayStation Studios Finance is seeking a Financial Data Analyst to join the Central Studio Business Group Finance team. Reporting to the Strategic Finance Manager, this role will focus on building and maintaining financial dashboards, automating recurring reporting, and supporting process improvement initiatives across PlayStation Studios’ Central Services.

You will partner closely with finance colleagues across regions, the BI team, and other internal stakeholders to deliver clear, actionable insights. This is a hands-on role where you’ll balance recurring reporting with project-based initiatives such as building & maintaining dashboards, data integration, predictive analytics, and more.

We are looking for a proactive team member who thrives on solving problems, optimizing processes, and helping PlayStation leverage data to make smarter financial and operational decisions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Recurring Reporting & Dashboards: Build, maintain, and enhance Tableau dashboards (possibly Domo dashboards); ensure accuracy and timeliness of monthly financial reporting and effort-tracking reports.
  • Automation & Data Integration: Improve efficiency by streamlining data pipelines and reporting workflows (e.g., connecting Snowflake and Tableau).
  • Process Improvement: Document, standardize, and improve recurring reporting processes across Central Services. Identify opportunities for automation and simplification.
  • Cost Allocation & Expense Tracking: Improve cost allocation and expense reporting for Central Services.
  • Ad-Hoc Analysis: Conduct scenario analysis, sensitivity testing, and custom reports to support strategic finance and leadership decision-making.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with finance teams in North America, Europe, and Asia, as well as IT and BI partners, to align on best practices and consistent reporting.
  • Predictive Analytics & Advanced Use Cases: Explore and support the development of advanced analytics (e.g., predictive analytics models, financial forecasting use cases).

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, data analytics, or business intelligence roles.
  • Prior experience in gaming, media, or technology is a plus.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in Tableau (Domo experience is a plus) and Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas).
  • Experience with Snowflake, SQL, or similar database/querying tools.
  • Familiarity with SAP or other ERP/accounting systems.
  • Python skills (basic scripting or automation) is a plus.
  • Experience applying generative AI tools in a professional environment (e.g., for data analysis, automation, documentation)

Analytical & Personal Skills

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to distill large datasets into actionable insights.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management.
  • Strong communication skills—able to explain technical or financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset, comfortable working independently and in cross-functional teams.
