The Financial Crime Analytics Department plays a strategic role in financial crime prevention (FCP). We develop and refine advanced analytics models that can detect suspicious activities. We work at the heart of the FCP ecosystem, in close collaboration with the second line of defence, operations and IT teams, to ensure the performance, compliance and ongoing evolution of the monitoring system. In a context of technological transformation (progressive adoption of GenAI, Azure, Databricks), our team is also continuing to evolve its analytical capabilities by focusing on advanced modelling, optimization and industrialization approaches. As a financial crime analytics data scientist, you will play a key role in the evolution and sustainable performance of the analytics system. You will contribute to the design, continuous improvement and governance of detection models, with a focus on long-term quality, robustness and performance. More specifically, you will be required to:
- Design, calibrate and refine advanced financial crime analytics models by contributing to improvements in the monitoring system.
- Contribute to the FCP analytical strategy and ensure the performance, robustness and compliance of models.
- Ensure documentation, governance and compliance of models.
- Serve as an expert with partners to explain methodologies, recommend solutions and support decision making.
- Participate in the modernization and industrialization of the analytics ecosystem.
- Monitor trends in analytics and integrate best practices and innovations.
- Collaborate with IT, operations and compliance teams to ensure overall consistency of the FCP sys

What you bring to the table
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, computer science, mathematics or a related field
- A minimum of six years of relevant data modelling or data science experience
- Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Financial crime certification (CAMS, CFCS)
- Experience with Azure/Databricks and interest in approaches that include generative AI
- Experience in an influential role and experience structuring a long-term analytical vision
- Knowledge of French is required
- Intermediate knowledge of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
- In-depth expertise in data science (ML, statistics) and understanding of model limitations
- Proficiency in Python, Spark and model development and industrialization practices (Git, MLflow, MLOps)
- Ability to explain complex concepts in plain language
- Knowledge of financial crime regulatory frameworks (FINTRAC, FATF)
