This Position reports to:
Business controllerAs a Manufacturing Financial Analyst, you play a key role in assessing, monitoring, and optimizing the financial performance of a production business. You act as a strategic partner to operations, providing accurate financial analyses to support decision-making.
As a Financial Analyst, you will be part of the Finance / Accounting team, sharing responsibility with colleagues for general, financial, and manufacturing accounting across the Buy-Sell business units, the Distribution Center (Bromont), and the Iberville plant.
This position contributes to ABB Canada’s Electrification, Installation Products Division and is based in Iberville, with occasional travel to Bromont.
The work model is hybrid, with 3 to 4 days per week on site.
Responsibilities
1. Financial and Budget Analysis
Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and month-end reports.
Develop forecasting and variance analysis models.
Participate in monthly and annual closings.
2. Costing and Inventory
Evaluate standard costs.
Monitor cost variances and recommend improvements.
Maintain the integrity of cost data in the ERP system.
Analyze inventory turnover, obsolescence, and count variances.
3. Operational Support
Collaborate with production teams to optimize investments.
Develop performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards.
Support continuous improvement and innovation projects.
Assist with investment tracking.
4. Risk Management and Compliance
Ensure compliance with financial processes.
Participate in internal and external audits.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Experience: 2 to 5 years in a similar role, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
Technical skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel.
ERP knowledge: Experience with SAP (an asset).
Profile: Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, autonomy.
Interpersonal skills: Team-oriented and able to communicate effectively across departments.
Organization: Excellent time management and ability to prioritize.
Languages: Bilingual (French and English). French is required. English is necessary for regular communication with internal clients outside of Quebec.
