Financial Analyst- 4-month Internship/Coop (Winter 2027)

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented below is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.

We are looking for a Financial Analyst Intern for our growing team! 

What you’ll do here:  

• Participate in month-end and/or year-end journal entries and reporting.
• Analyze existing data and reports to identify variances from plan, trends, and opportunities to improve financial performance.
• Collaborate with relevant business units to obtain the information needed to clarify financial results.
• Participate in financial planning, forecasting, and performance comparisons.
• Assist with the extraction, transformation, and visualization of financial data to analyze and determine the drivers of financial performance.
• Help document and implement new processes as needed.
• Develop or recommend actions to improve operational efficiency and consistency through enhanced reporting, process improvements, and automation.
• Ensure that financial activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.

What you bring to the table:  

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting in progress
• Strong skills in Excel
• Knowledge in PowerBI or PowerQuery is an asset
• Strong skills in data extraction, manipulation, and synthesis
• Experience in the field of accounting or finance (an asset)
• Aspiration to obtain a CPA (an asset)
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Autonomous and responsible
• Attention to detail
• Be bilingual (English and French). Need to interact regularly with colleagues across the country
• Available 35 hours a week from January 5 to April 23, 2027
• Must be an active student during your internship and/or returning to school in next semester following your internship
