What we’re looking for
We are looking for an Finance Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Specialist to serve as a key strategic partner for our G&A functions. In this high-visibility role, you will support operational and financial planning, business analysis, and decision-making for senior leadership. You will have a platform to influence significant decisions and lead strategic projects that directly contribute to SurveyMonkey’s growth. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving complex problems and connecting financial activities to broader business success.
What you’ll be working on
- Drive Strategic Planning: Lead the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting cycles for G&A functions to ensure departmental resources and headcount align with company-wide financial targets.
- Architect Financial Models: Build sophisticated, scalable models to evaluate new business initiatives, cost-saving opportunities, and the ROI of long-term strategic investments.
- Deliver Executive Insights: Synthesize complex datasets into clear, concise presentations that translate financial metrics into strategic recommendations for the leadership team.
- Optimize Systems and Processes: Partner with cross-functional teams to automate reporting workflows and enhance the data integrity of our ERP and financial planning tools.
- Manage Collaborative Projects: Oversee end-to-end financial workstreams, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned on project milestones and fiscal objectives.
We’d love to hear from people with
- Professional Experience: 3+ years of experience in high-growth corporate finance, investment banking, or management consulting.
- Industry Knowledge: Prior experience working within the technology or SaaS sector, demonstrating an understanding of industry-specific financial drivers.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced expertise in Excel (complex modeling and data manipulation) and experience navigating ERP or EPM systems (e.g., NetSuite, Workday Adaptive Planning).
- Analytical Rigor: A proven track record of managing large-scale data projects and maintaining high accuracy while meeting tight deadlines.
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
SurveyMonkey believes in-person collaboration is valuable for building relationships, fostering community, and enhancing our speed and execution. While this role is remote, it may require in-person participation. You will be encouraged to attend company events throughout the year. These events will take place at a designated SurveyMonkey office or location.
