Analyze and document business requirements, translate them into solutions with development teams, and work on vulnerability management, obsolescence reduction, and small portal features. Primarily fix issues and deliver small enhancements in a large Microsoft/Azure codebase using C# .NET, containerization, and daily AI-assisted coding (GitHub Copilot).
The summary above was generated by AI

What we are looking for:

  • Analysis and documentation of business requirements
  • Translation of requirements into solutions in collaboration with development teams
  • Understanding of integration concepts and application architectures
  • Comfort working in complex technological environments
  • Autonomy, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement

Client is expanding its Extranet teams as part of a priority security initiative, focused in the short term on vulnerability management and obsolescence reduction, with the occasional addition of features to the portals for customers, brokers, and dealerships.

  • The work is primarily execution-oriented: fixing existing issues, delivering small features, and working within a large codebase.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong back-end development experience in C# .NET, with at least 5 years of experience, ideally gained on secure, public-facing web portals (government, banking, insurance, or similar sectors).
  • The environment is Microsoft and cloud-based (Azure DevOps Services), with a modern containerized infrastructure (Docker, Kubernetes) and some legacy components (older .NET versions) currently being modernized.
  • The framework is Scrum, with three-week sprints.
  • The front-end skills are general (MVC, HTML, CSS, JavaScript), with React being a plus. Daily use of AI (GitHub Copilot) for code exploration and development is non-negotiable.
  • The integration stack (Kafka, Kong, BizTalk), MongoDB, and token management are skills that can be learned and are considered assets; token experience is desired in at least one team member, but not required of all. Different profiles should not be confused: front-end-only developer, middleware specialist without a .NET foundation, junior profile.

  • Development of secure web portals or publicly exposed applications | Mandatory | All requirements
  • Microsoft and cloud environment, Azure DevOps Services | Mandatory | All requirements
  • Proficiency with AI on a daily basis, GitHub Copilot, code exploration and development (eliminatory) | Elimination criterion | Mandatory condition

DESIRED

  • Generalist front-end, MVC, HTML, CSS, JavaScript | Mandatory | All requirements
  • MS SQL databases | Mandatory | All requirements
  • Modern containerized infrastructure, Docker and Kubernetes | List of examples | Sufficient majority
  • Proficiency in mixed, modern and legacy (older .NET versions) environments | Mandatory | All requirements

ASSET

  • Authentication and authorization, management and Token enrichment, OAuth (ideally in at least one resource within the team) One option is sufficient. Sufficient majority.
  • Kafka, event handling One option is sufficient. Sufficient majority.
  • Kong, API exposure One option is sufficient. Sufficient majority.
  • BizTalk, decommissioning support One option is sufficient. Sufficient majority.
  • MongoDB databases One option is sufficient. Sufficient majority.
  • React front-end One option is sufficient. Sufficient majority.
  • Observability, Dynatrace or equivalent tool One option is sufficient. Sufficient majority.

Note: The foundation relies on strong C# .NET back-end development in the context of secure portals, within a Microsoft cloud environment. The integration stack, MongoDB, and React can be learned and remain assets. Token experience is desired in at least one team member, but not required of all.

WHAT WE DON'T WANT

  • Developer without a solid foundation in C# .NET back-end development.
  • Candidates with less than 5 years of experience.
  • Candidates unwilling to use AI or GitHub Copilot to explore code and develop.
