Job Description:
What You'll Do
The Expert Application Architect is responsible for leading the charge to drive technology strategy and technical capabilities for an application ecosystem. The architect leverages deep understanding of business processes and technical building blocks to design application architecture that balances business and customer needs with technical non-functional requirements for resiliency, security and efficiency.
They partner with application engineers to ensure the application ecosystem is engineered according to architecture vision and continuously evolve the architecture and application to meet changing customer and business needs. The architect actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role of management.
How You'll Do It

  • Independently oversees the design process for an application and innovate unique solution patterns for that application.
  • Demonstrates a deep understanding of business processes and technical building blocks to help develop product vision and strategy with Product Owners.
  • Trains others in and out of your department in solution design patterns.
  • Actively researches innovative solutions and ways to build business capabilities.


Qualifications You'll Need
The Basics

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or engineering
  • 10+ years of experience in Software Development, Software Engineering or related
  • Technical proficiency rating of expert on the Dreyfus architecture scale.

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Java and Spring technologies including Core, Boot, and Cloud
  • Experience with low latency, high availability, high throughput real-time systems
  • Microservices architecture and event driven architecture using Kafka or Rabbit MQ
  • Relational databases (design/SQL/tuning)
  • Web APIs (REST/SOAP)
  • AWS and hybrid cloud
  • Business Process Management tools
  • Experience in automated Fraud detection & the Risk domain
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically while executing tactically
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams and managing competing priorities in a large enterprise
  • For technical roles with Dreyfus requirements: External applicants will be required to perform a technical interview.

Compensation:
The base pay for this position generally ranges between $175,500.00 to $242,300.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
