Our products serve hundreds of thousands of freelancers, solo entrepreneurs and microbusinesses across hundreds of industries across multiple geographies.

We’re looking for a Growth Data Analyst to build and own the foundation of our marketing analytics ecosystem for Invoice Simple and Joist. This role will establish a single source of truth for marketing performance data and build the reporting and forecasting tools that enable effective planning and spend optimization.

You’ll work closely with our Growth, Marketing, and Finance teams to connect data across channels, create clear performance visibility, and generate insights that guide acquisition and retention investments.

Responsibilities:

Marketing Data Infrastructure & Source of Truth

  • Build and maintain a unified, reliable dataset for marketing performance metrics (spend, leads, subscriptions, revenue).

  • Partner with Data Engineering to design and QA pipelines that connect ad platforms, CDP, and subscription data.

  • Define marketing taxonomy and naming conventions to ensure data consistency across tools.

Reporting & Tooling

  • Build self-serve dashboards for spend, ROI, and funnel performance using Looker or equivalent BI tools.

  • Develop frameworks for forecasting and budgeting marketing spend and expected ROI.

  • Support leadership with recurring marketing performance reviews and ad-hoc analyses.

Performance Analytics & Insights

  • Analyze acquisition efficiency, CAC trends, and channel mix performance.

  • Identify data-driven opportunities to improve marketing ROI.

  • Partner with Finance to reconcile spend and revenue and ensure data alignment.

  • In later stages, expand analysis to campaign effectiveness, LTV, and retention modeling.

Strategic Partnership:

  • Participate actively in growth strategy development and planning sessions.

  • Provide data-driven insights to shape strategic direction.

  • Partner with Growth Lead on strategic decision making.

  • Identify opportunities for growth optimization through analytics.

  • Guide strategic resource allocation based on performance data.

Skills and Experience needed for success in this role:

  • 4+ years of experience in marketing or growth analytics, preferably in a SaaS or consumer app environment.

  • Strong SQL skills and experience building datasets for performance reporting.

  • Experience working with marketing data (Google Ads, Meta, Apple Search Ads, etc.) and integrating with BI tools.

  • Proficiency in data visualization (Looker, Tableau, Power BI).

  • Strong understanding of acquisition funnels, attribution, and unit economics (CAC, payback, LTV).

  • Ability to translate messy, complex data into actionable insights and scalable tools.

  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Finance, Data Engineering).

Personal Characteristics:

  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and motivated to build things from scratch.

  • Comfortable moving between high-level insights and hands-on SQL debugging.

  • Curious and proactive — you don’t wait for direction to identify improvement opportunities.

  • Strong communicator who can translate data into clear, concise narratives for non-technical partners.
