Team Lead (Frontend), Engineering

At Poka, being a Team Lead means blending technical leadership with hands-on frontend development. You'll not only guide a team of developers but also actively contribute to building robust and innovative solutions. This role is perfect if you're looking to grow your leadership skills while staying deeply involved in coding.

What You’ll Do:

  • Drive innovation by designing and implementing creative solutions to enhance Poka’s applications.
  • Deliver high-quality code, ensuring reliability through thorough testing.
  • Set a clear vision for the team, keeping everyone aligned and moving forward.
  • Structure workflows by establishing efficient processes and best practices to improve productivity.
  • Plan and coordinate projects in collaboration with the team, Product Manager, and Product Designer.
  • Guide the team in setting goals, planning work, and managing day-to-day tasks.
  • Provide technical mentorship, share knowledge, and ensure code quality and performance.
  • Act as a go-to technical expert, helping developers solve complex challenges while driving excellence in frontend development.
  • Foster team growth, creating an environment that encourages continuous learning and improvement.
  • Balance priorities between new feature development, maintenance, performance, and stability.
  • Work closely with management to support the team’s success and individual talent development.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Technical leadership experience – ability to structure, organize, and guide a multidisciplinary development team.
  • Strong Frontend expertise – proficiency in Angular, HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Project management skills – experience with technical planning, process definition, and workflow optimization.
  • Excellent soft skills – strong communicator, team player, and motivator.
  • 3+ years of software development and leadership experience.
  • Bilingual (French & English) – essential for seamless collaboration across the team.
