About the Role:
CrowdStrike is establishing a FinOps Data Analytics practice to drive sustainable cost management across our fourteen product groups and eleven platform groups. The FinOps Data Analytics Engineer II will contribute to building and implementing cost optimization solutions while developing expertise in cloud cost management and FinOps practices.

What You'll Do:

Technical Development

  • Implement cost monitoring and alerting solutions across cloud platforms under senior guidance

  • Develop scripts and automation tools to support cost optimization workflows

  • Assist in building cost allocation and tagging implementations for accurate cost attribution

  • Create and maintain cost optimization dashboards and reporting tools

  • Support integration efforts between cloud billing APIs and internal systems

Engineering Support

  • Contribute to tooling development that supports FinOps processes across product and platform groups

  • Help implement cost guardrails and automated policies to prevent cost overruns

  • Assist in developing cost data collection and processing pipelines

  • Support technical documentation creation for cost-efficient infrastructure patterns

  • Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions

Learning and Growth

  • Work closely with senior engineers to learn FinOps best practices and cost optimization techniques

  • Collaborate with product engineering teams to understand cost optimization opportunities

  • Participate in FinOps Working Group meetings to gain cross-functional perspective

  • Contribute to research on new cost optimization tools and techniques

  • Support Infrastructure Foundations Program technical initiatives

Operational Excellence

  • Monitor and maintain existing cost management tools and systems

  • Assist in troubleshooting cost-related technical issues

  • Help implement and test cost optimization recommendations

  • Support data quality initiatives for cost reporting accuracy

  • Participate in on-call rotation for cost management systems

What You'll Need:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field

  • 3+ years of software engineering experience

  • Solid programming skills in Python, Go, or similar languages

  • Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

  • Basic understanding of cloud infrastructure and services

  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows

  • Experience with monitoring tools and basic observability concepts

  • Understanding of containerization technologies (Docker)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Interest in obtaining FinOps Certified Practitioner certification

  • Exposure to infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)

  • Basic experience with CI/CD pipelines

  • Familiarity with database technologies and SQL

  • Understanding of networking and security fundamentals

  • Experience with data visualization tools (Grafana, Tableau, etc.)

  • Previous exposure to cost optimization or resource management

CrowdStrike, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Placement within the pay range is dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications, job level, supervisory status, and location. The base salary range for this position for all U.S. candidates is $100,000 - $145,000 per year, with eligibility for bonuses, equity grants and a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, 401k and paid time off.
