The Foundations, Digital Experience, Process Automation and Cross-Sector Functions Department plays a Desjardins-wide role. Offering infrastructure capabilities, the team is positioned as a true centre of expertise for all projects that serve Desjardins members and clients. As an ElasticSearch programmer analyst on the Research squad, you’re tasked with developing a search engine platform based on ElasticSearch technology. You collaborate with your team to analyze and clarify our business partners’ needs and propose tailored solutions. You’re able to identify and apply software development best practices (clean architecture, clean code, design patterns). More specifically, you will be required to :

Actively help develop execution strategies and analyze and develop software products (design, code, automate and run tests), while applying development, data and security best practices

Document technical solutions and practices to ensure product sustainability. Develop documentation and prepare and deliver training for peers and consumers

Provide technical support for IT operations Analyze, diagnose, follow up on and resolve critical and complex system issues

Cocreate with business partners and architects to get a complete understanding of business intentions and objectives and standardize solutions accordingly

Lead application installation, testing and deployment

What you bring to the table

Bachelor's degree in a related field

A minimum of four years of relevant experience

Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered

Knowledge of French is required

Proficiency in cloud computing technology such as AKS, AWS, GCP and knowledge of cloud development

Proficiency in ElasticSearch

Expertise in product development and maintenance

Proficiency in CI/CD and knowledge of GitHub Actions

Proficiency in one or more backend languages such as Java or Python
-
Knowledge of a script language such as Bash or Python
