Backend-focused Drupal developer responsible for custom module design, contributed module integration, CMS upgrades, security, and full development lifecycle (code review, unit testing, documentation, deployment). Ensure WCAG 2.0 accessibility, SEO and performance optimization while working in an Agile multidisciplinary team with architects and UX/UI experts.
Job
Description:
- The client
envisions an independent Drupal developer focused on delivering websites within
a multidisciplinary Agile team at the digital foundation.
- The core of
the role is backend development: designing custom modules, integrating
contributor modules, CMS updates, and security—not just using Drupal. The
recurring keywords (code review, unit testing, organic analysis, technical
documentation, deployment plan) indicate a profile that masters the full
development lifecycle, not a pure web integrator.
- The WCAG
2.0 accessibility requirements and SEO and performance optimization are
explicit and distinguish this role from a generalist developer position. The
role collaborates with the architect and UX/UI experts, but remains a
development role, not an architecture or project management role.
Requirements
Mandatory:
- Strong
Drupal expertise: custom module development, contributed module integration,
CMS upgrades, and security
- Software
development experience at the required level
- Experience
delivering projects using Agile methodologies
- Bachelor’s
degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Quality
practices: code reviews, unit testing, functional and technical analysis,
technical documentation
Desired:
- Knowledge
of the SAFe framework
- Code
complying with WCAG 2.0 accessibility requirements
- Development
practices optimized for SEO and website performance
Asset:
- Master’s
degree
- Industry
experience in insurance or finance
