Responsibilities include evangelizing SUSE solutions, influencing strategy, providing presales support, and guiding both internal teams and customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Engagement: Analyze customer business needs; apply relevant telco technologies (RAN, Core Networks) to their IT landscapes.

  • Internal Liaison: Act as a bridge between customers and internal teams like Technical Support & R&D.

  • Internal Facing / Sales Support

  • Contribute technical expertise to complex solution development efforts aimed at meeting sales targets.

  • Collaborate strategically with regional teams on co-creating go-to-market plans and identifying growth opportunities in the Telco market (NFV, Cloud Native).

  • Assist marketing initiatives both field and online; contribute to content development.

  • Technical & Knowledge Management

  • Ensure alignment between product capabilities and customer needs/growth opportunities.

  • Influence technical direction based on customer requirements.

  • Share insights, best practices, and expertise with fellow Solution Architects.

Skills & Experience

  • Extensive Presales Experience: Proven ability to translate deep technical knowledge into effective proposals, presentations, demos, and workshops. Must specifically demonstrate this in the Telco domain.

  • Deep understanding of core telecom networks (voice/data), Radio Access Networks (RAN), and Network Function Virtualization (NFV).

  • Technical Communication Skills: Ability to simplify complex telco/edge/cloud-native concepts for non-technical audiences, effectively highlighting both business impact and technical value.

  • Leadership & Interpersonal Abilities:

    • Strong coordination skills across internal teams and external customers/partners.

    • Experience influencing stakeholders in a global setting.

    • Execution-focused mindset with teamwork capabilities.

  • Technical Proficiency: Expertise required includes:

    • Linux operating systems, provisioning, patch management, configuration management.

    • In-depth knowledge of telco market technologies: Core Networks, Fixed Access, RAN, NFV.

    • Container Management & Cloud-Native Computing (e.g., Kubernetes).

    • Proficiency with DevOps tools and methodologies; strong understanding of hybrid cloud infrastructure including security aspects like containers/Kubernetes/Edge solutions.
