Nimonik is a fast-growing compliance management company that offers a SaaS and e-commerce platform for regulatory data and industry standards. We work with over 900 customers around the world in a variety of industries.

In 2024, Nimonik acquired Document Center and modernized its technology stack. However, the product requires more work; that's where you come in.

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Think beyond the code and about our users and customers, understand their needs, and define solutions with the team.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop the product.
  3. Optimize system performance, reliability, scalability, and security in a cloud-native environment.
  4. Contribute to backend architecture decisions and product infrastructure planning.
  5. Collaborate with product owners, designers, and fellow developers to define project requirements and features meant to cover business needs.
  6. Lead the continuous improvement of best practices by introducing the latest industry standards.
  7. Fix bugs and technical debt, adhering to the concept of Kaizen, upon which Nimonik is founded.

Qualifications / Skills / Experience

  1. You have 5+ years of experience in full-stack development or equivalent.
  2. You have advanced proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with Django.
  3. You have expert knowledge of Celery and Redis.
  4. Well-versed in performance optimization techniques, both in general and Python/Django-specific.
  5. You understand the elements of good UI design and what makes a UI effective.
  6. Knowledgeable in SOLID principles and design patterns.
  7. Solid and proficient expertise in relational database design and optimization, especially PostgreSQL.
  8. Experience working in cloud-based environments (we currently use AWS).
  9. Experience with containers and orchestration tools (Docker, Amazon Elastic Container Service).
  10. A strong advocate for unit testing, thorough documentation, and maintaining high standards of code quality.
  11. Proven ability to work independently and remotely.
  12. Growth mindset, proactive attitude, and integrity.
