Job Description:
Caterpillar has an exciting leadership opportunity for the Division CIO of our Strategic Procurement and Planning Division (SPPD). This division and team are responsible for designing, developing, and connecting world-class capabilities to create value across the entire ecosystem - from the supply base through our manufacturing process - to connect with our dealers and customers.
Additionally, SPPD provides critical process and digital solutions across the Caterpillar enterprise and a large supplier network.
This Division CIO is accountable for providing technology solutions aligned with the Business strategy and objectives. They will lead a team of managers, individual contributors, along with matrixed leadership throughout the company.
This leader is actively involved in developing a business aligned strategy, delivering solutions, prioritizing resources, negotiating contracts and providing business guidance.
This leader is critically positioned in the organization to ensure strategic and operational priorities while protecting enterprise value.
Key responsibilities include: • Delivers tangible business value through technology solutions that are aligned to the business strategy and priorities.• Provides thought leadership to proactively solve business challenges and issues. • Manages operational stability, health, and availability of technology solutions.• Protects the business and brands across cyber, risk and compliance requirements.• Prioritizes resources to achieve strategic business outcomes.
The successful candidate profile includes: • Strategy Development & Execution: Experience leading, developing, socializing, and executing IT strategies and roadmaps in a highly complex environment. • Relationship Management: Collaborating and managing partner and peer relationships to achieve business outcomes by leading through influence and direct accountability in a matrixed environment.• Customer-Focused: Strong business and financial acumen with a "customer back" mindset.• Software Engineering & Development: Designing and building digital and technology solutions that strengthen the core business and pioneer the future with expanded offerings that grow services.• Data & Information Enablement: Unleashing the power of data insights, AI and GenAI to manage the business, improve business results and outcomes. • Operational Support: Supporting global, large scale manufacturing operations and aftermarket business models in a matrixed support structure 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. • Talent Management: Adept at leading and inspiring global, multi-sourced teams to deliver high quality, transformational capabilities.• Marketing & Communication: Excellent communication and conflict management skills.

Degree Requirement:
  • Degree or equivalent experience desired.

Additional Details:
  • Role will be in office 5 days a week in Dallas, TX.
  • Domestic relocation is offered for this role.

  • This position is eligible for stock or other equity grants pursuant to Caterpillar's long-term incentive plan.

Summary Pay Range:
$185,400.00 - $278,160.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
