Director of Product Management, SoftwareMachine Vision Software Strategy, AI, and Product Leadership

Software is rapidly becoming the defining competitive advantage in machine vision. This is a pivotal leadership opportunity for a software product executive who can help transform software into a strategic differentiator and growth driver for the business.

As part of Teledyne Technologies, serving imaging and industrial automation markets, you will define the software vision and roadmap, shape product strategy across image processing, AI, and connected platforms, and influence a broad software portfolio. If you enjoy turning market opportunities into impactful products and aligning global teams around a shared vision, this role offers significant scope and visibility.

What you'll do

  • Define and execute the long-term software vision, strategy, and roadmap.
  • Lead and influence Product Managers across the software portfolio.
  • Drive product direction for image processing, AI-enabled imaging, machine learning, workflow automation, and 3D software.
  • Align software priorities with hardware roadmaps, customer needs, and business objectives.
  • Develop licensing, subscription, and recurring revenue strategies.
  • Partner across engineering, marketing, sales, quality, and operations to deliver successful products.
  • Engage customers, OEMs, and system integrators to identify emerging opportunities.
  • Evaluate build, partner, and acquisition strategies for new capabilities.
  • Ensure alignment with cybersecurity, privacy, and compliance requirements.
  • Track product adoption, revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

What you need

  • Required: Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional influence skills.
  • Required: Deep knowledge of machine vision, imaging software, computer vision, or AI/ML solutions.
  • Required: 10+ years of product management leadership experience.
  • Required: Experience leading and influencing Product Managers across complex software portfolios.
  • Required: Proven success building multi-year product strategies and roadmaps.
  • Required: Experience with software platforms, SDKs/APIs, and commercial software products.
  • Required: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
  • Advantage: Advanced degree and experience with AI-enabled imaging, cloud platforms, subscriptions, or recurring revenue models.

Salary Range:

$139,400.00-$185,800.000

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, local regulations (such as minimum wage), education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
