Synopsis of the role
As a Director, Sales-Fintech at Equifax Canada, you are the definitive "face" of the organization to our most entrepreneurial customers. You hold the ultimate responsibility for nurturing and expanding relationships within our Fintech and segments, finance, gaming, etc.
Leading a dedicated team of Sales Account Executives (SAEs), you will act as a mentor, leader and coach for the Fintech sales team. Your mission is to uncover client pain points and orchestrate the delivery of sophisticated data solutions that drive revenue, increase operational efficiency, and cement long-term customer loyalty and lead your team to achieve your goals.
What You’ll Do
Strategic Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of SAEs, driving a culture of high performance and professional development leveraging our In The Funnel Sales Governance tools.
Executive Relationship Management: Proactively establish and deepen ties with C-suite stakeholders across assigned segments and portfolios.
End-to-End Sales Oversight: Lead the sales cycle from initial early qualification coaching and "thought leadership" sessions through to contract execution, assisting in solution delivery and post-sales.
Insight-Driven Growth: Map client strategic goals to Equifax’s robust data and NPI products to propose high-value, transformative solutions.
Governance & Forecasting: Maintain rigorous sales governance, provide accurate, proactive forecasting to senior leadership, and manage a strong team coaching cadence.
What Experience You Need
Industry Expertise: 4-8 years of sales management experience specifically within Fintech, Software, or Data services.
Leadership: Proven track record of leading and scaling a team of Sales Account Executives.
Domain Knowledge: Significant experience in information services, marketing, credit, or risk management and consumer financing or financial services.
Matrix Navigation: Experience driving results within a matrixed environment, using influence and sophisticated communication to align diverse stakeholders.
Industry Network: An established external network within the Canadian Fintech services sector.
What Could Set You Apart
Advanced Education: A Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent); or a Marketing, Business, or Economics degree.
Cloud Literacy: A solid understanding of cloud capabilities and how they enable digital transformation for financial institutions.
Bilingualism: Absolute proficiency in both French and English is preferred
CRM Mastery: Expert-level command of Salesforce best practices for pipeline management, coaching, and representation.
Poise: An exceptional ability to remain calm and analytical when navigating complex negotiations or high-pressure executive presentations.
