The Director, Product – Payment & Cards supports the development of the product vision and strategy, and drives its execution for our Payments and Cards platform including credit, prepaid, and cross-border products. You will be a leader in the product organization, partner closely with executive leadership, and ensure consistent, high-quality delivery across all product lines and B2B partner implementations.
This role is ideal for leaders who combine deep payments expertise with strong execution and can scale products, platforms, and teams in a high-growth fintech environment.
What You’ll Do- Drive end-to-end delivery across payment products, ensuring on-time, high-quality, and scalable releases
- Optimization of ACH, RTP/FedNow, wires, and cross-border payments. Define smart routing so transactions settle on the cheapest, fastest available rail
- Pilot stablecoin settlement as an alternative to correspondent banking where the cost/speed case is clear
- Work across Compliance, Risk & Treasury for tokenized rails, reserve attestation, sanction screening, cost per transaction, settlement and reconciliation.
- Support the evolution of the product architecture in partnership with Engineering (APIs, workflows, integrations)
- Establish strong cross-functional alignment across Product, Engineering, Ops, Risk, Compliance, and Commercial teams
- Own product performance: KPIs, revenue impact, portfolio growth, and customer outcomes
- Contribute to shaping product positioning, pricing, and go-to-market strategy for Payments & Cards offerings
- Build and mentor a high-performing product team with strong accountability and execution discipline
- 7+ years of product leadership experience with deep expertise in payments and card issuing (US & Canada). Strong domain expertise in cross-border payments, as well as credit card & prepaids.
- Deep understanding of cross-border payment flows, tokenized payments, authorization, settlement, and reconciliation
- Proven experience with payment rails, money movement, or financial services APIs, and a strong grasp of the operational and regulatory complexity behind them. Strong technical fluency in APIs, integrations, and platform architecture.
- Demonstrated ability to drive business impact through product strategy and execution. Highly analytical and data-driven with strong commercial and product judgment. Exceptional stakeholder management and executive communication skills
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments with strong accountability
- Experience with Platform-as-a-Service or embedded finance platforms
- Experience with fraud, risk, and compliance product domains
- Exposure to AI/LLMs in payments or product automation

- Compensation: CA $130,000-200,000
- Base salary range: For this role, candidates can expect a base salary range, described in the posting. Actual compensation is determined based on skills, experience, and role level. Exceptional candidates may be considered above the top of the range, and pay can increase quickly for those who make a big impact in the role.
