About the Role:

We are looking for a Director of Product Marketing to lead and build a high performing team of product marketers focused on our anchor cross-border money transfer product, for both consumer and Small & Micro Business (SMB) audiences.

Working closely with Product and Marketing leadership, you will direct the go to market (GTM) vision, strategy, and launch roadmap for our remittances product, in concert with Remitly's other products such as Lending, Membership, and Wallet. Your scope will cover multiple product surfaces, as our distribution model includes our highly-rated mobile app, website, Agentic AI and messaging platforms like WhatsApp, and embedded B2B2C integrations.

Reporting to the Director of Product & Regional Marketing, this role blends strategic go-to-market leadership with ownership of our global promotional offers budget, strategy, and execution. The role is ideal for a Product Marketing leader with a track record leading change for established product brands, as well as success in 0→1 product marketing, given you will focus on both well-established and new audiences, with an evolving set of features and experiences. This role requires 3+ days a week at our Seattle, WA headquarters.

You Will:

Go-to-Market Strategy and Planning

  • Define how Remitly positions and grows our remittances product across audiences, surfaces and promotions—ensuring it is differentiated, adopted, and trusted worldwide.
  • Define and oversee strategic marketing test-and-learn agendas, collaborating cross-functionally to inform the product roadmap.
  • Orchestrate high-impact launches and initiatives from idea to execution, defining the audience, positioning and messaging, and executing in collaboration with cross-functional partners.
  • Build integrated marketing campaigns that break through and foster enduring trust in Remitly among both consumer and SMB audiences.

Global Customer Promotions Program

  • Manage our promotional offers strategy, budget, and execution
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration across Product, Business Management, Finance, Accounting, Legal, Growth, Creative, and Analytics to design and test promotional offers

Leadership & Influence

  • Lead and inspire a high-performing team of product marketers, fostering a culture of customer centricity, innovation, business acumen, and accountability.
  • Build GTM frameworks and playbooks that enable a lean PMM team to scale impact across dozens of product areas.
  • Act as a thought leader within Marketing, inspiring the organization to innovate and embrace new ways of communicating about our product.
  • Partner deeply with Remitly's Product organization to set product priorities and shape the consumer narrative about our product experience.

Altitude & Depth

  • Balance long-term vision-setting with hands-on execution for select launches or messaging challenges, modeling how directors at Remitly operate across altitude levels.
  • Represent Marketing in Product leadership forums, surfacing insights and performance outcomes that shape company priorities.

You Have:

  • 10+ years of experience as a strategic Product Marketing leader, with a focus on consumer technology brands, and at least 5 years experience in financial services.
  • 5+ years of experience leading a team of product marketers in a fast-paced, technical envrionment.
  • Managed a multi-million-dollar annual budget, with accountability for efficiency and impact, ideally for promotions, rewards, or incentives.
  • Proven success directing go-to-market strategy for new product and feature launches for a complex and evolving product roadmap.
  • Proven success leading high-visibility cross-functional initiatives and shaping product and marketing strategy through collaboration and influence.
  • An obsession with uncovering customer insights, across diverse global audiences, and using these to build winning strategies.

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $176,000-$220,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
