Job Description
This is a new chapter for marketing at Paper and a big opportunity to build and make a lasting impact. We’re looking for a strategic, action-oriented Director of Marketing to lead revenue generation for our fastest-growing offerings: GROW high-impact tutoring and AI solutions. You’ll own the strategy and execution to drive pipeline, unlock new revenue, and support renewals. The ideal candidate is equal parts strategist and doer, thrives in fast-paced environments (think Series A startup), and enjoys partnering closely with Sales to do great work together.
This role reports to the Chief Revenue Officer and can be located in any geography in the US or Canada.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and own the end-to-end marketing strategy for GROW high-impact tutoring and AI solutions to increase awareness, engagement, and conversion
Lead execution of high-impact campaigns across events, regional dinners, sponsorships, press, thought leadership, and paid media
Partner with SDRs and AEs to improve lead quality and outbound performance; manage email content and sequences in SaleLoft
Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing to build repeatable, scalable campaign playbooks
Ensure marketing tools (HubSpot, Canva, SalesLoft, etc.) are supporting needs
Manage one direct report (Senior Product Marketing Manager)
Own marketing funnel reporting in partnership with Sales
Qualifications
8+ years of marketing experience, including 5 years in B2B EdTech marketing and/or enterprise marketing
Deep understanding of the K-12 landscape and district decision-making process
Strategic thinker with a bias for action (comfortable leading, building, and doing)
Strong verbal and written communicator able to influence cross-functional teams
Proven ability to execute campaigns that deliver measurable pipeline and revenue impact
Experience in fast-paced startup environments and comfort with ambiguity

The annual salary range for this position is $170,000-$190,000 USD or $136,000-162,000 CAD, plus equity. Please note that the final offer amount is determined by multiple factors, including geographic location as well as candidate experience, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
