Job Description :

Reporting into the VP, Total Reward and HRIS, the Director, HRIS is a key partner and collaborative member of the HR team, responsible for defining, evolving, and managing the company’s HR technology ecosystem. This leader will drive the Workday HRIS roadmap to deliver user-friendly, integrated solutions and expand analytics capabilities. 
 

This role is crucial for leveraging technology to streamline and simplify processes and with a core mandate to be a highly collaborative influencer across the organization. The Director, HRIS, possesses a general knowledge of ERP systems and/or experience managing systems outside of pure HRIS (e.g., Finance, Supply Chain) to build bridges and ensure seamless, end-to-end integration across the enterprise's technology platforms.

What you will do:

  • Act as a primary liaison to foster strong, productive relationships with Finance, IT, HR Operations, HR Business Partners, and Internal Audit teams.

  • Use excellent collaboration skills and a demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders to ensure alignment on system priorities and drive strategic initiatives forward.

  • Champion a change management and stakeholder engagement mindset to improve user adoption and address change management issues by incorporating customer feedback.

  • Plan and implement the Workday HRIS roadmap, demonstrating strong project management skills to prioritize work and effectively plan capacity. Focus on short-term (fiscal year) strategic planning while maintaining the flexibility to adapt quickly to emerging business needs and organizational change.

  • Continually optimize implemented solutions to streamline processes, leveraging new Workday functionality that is seen as value-add to the user experience.

  • Lead a team of HRIS functional experts and provide coaching to increase their Workday knowledge. Foster an environment of learning and development.

  • Demonstrate the ability to transfer knowledge to team members to build a robust and self-sufficient team.

  • Oversee the maintenance and optimization of core system components, including foundations, business processes, reports, and integrations. Oversee key operational processes such as issue resolutions and change requests.

  • Maintain a digital mindset and understanding of how technology can be leveraged to improve the end-to-end employee and manager experience.
     

Prerequisites & Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred (Information Technology, Human Resources, etc.).

  • HRIS Expertise: HR expert with at least 10 years of experience designing and upscaling HR systems solutions.

  • Experience with Workday systems (an asset)

  • ERP Acumen (Asset): Demonstrated general knowledge and ideally experience of ERP systems (beyond HR systems) or experience managing large-scale technology platforms.

  • Proven project management skills, strong capacity planning skills, and experience in technology team management.

  • Bilingualism (FR/EN) preferred, the employee will need to collaborate with stakeholders outside of QC.

  • Experience in technology teams management
