The Director, Canada Strategic Sales & Analytics is a senior leader responsible for driving market share growth, optimizing retail performance, and maximizing sales across the product portfolio. This role embodies our "Obsessed With Winning" model - winning in the market (gaining share), at every retailer (gaining share of shelf), and with every item (driving sales growth).
This is a builder role. The business requires a leader who digs deep into the numbers, operates with urgency and ownership, and brings the scrappiness and resilience of a startup mindset. We are looking for someone who not only analyzes performance, but builds and scales businesses.
This highly analytical and strategic leader will work cross-functionally with Marketing, Product Development, Sales, and Finance to guide the product roadmap, lifecycle management, and pricing strategy. - Lead Canada's strategic sales and analytics to deliver market share, distribution, and revenue growth.
- Develop and execute sales strategies that align with corporate goals and deliver against "Obsessed With Winning" KPIs.
- Identify market trends, category dynamics, whitespace opportunities, and competitive insights to inform strategic decisions and investments.
- Translate analytics into clear, actionable strategies that drive performance, profitability, and sustainable category leadership.
- Operate with an ownership mindset - proactively identifying growth levers, solving problems, and unlocking new opportunities.
- Serve as a key partner in the weekly and monthly operating model, ensuring performance reviews, insights, and actions are connected across functions.
- Provide leadership and insight in business performance discussions, driving accountability and action planning.
- Align cross-functional teams around strategic priorities, forecasts, and execution plans.
- Build scalable processes and reporting frameworks that enable speed, clarity, and disciplined execution.
- Partner with Sales and Category teams to strengthen retailer relationships and secure incremental distribution and shelf share.
- Evaluate retailer performance, optimize promotional plans, and identify opportunities to improve ROI across channels.
- Lead business reviews with key retailers, leveraging data-driven insights to influence assortment, pricing, and merchandising strategies.
- Bring a test-and-learn mindset to unlocking growth across traditional retail and eCommerce.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Product Development to shape product roadmaps and launch strategies informed by market and consumer insights.
- Oversee lifecycle management, including pricing, trade strategy, and product optimization to maximize growth and margin.
- Partner with Finance to evaluate pricing elasticity, promotional effectiveness, and profitability across the portfolio.
- Identify and scale breakout items while making disciplined decisions on underperforming SKUs.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of managers and analysts, fostering analytical excellence and strategic thinking.
- Build a collaborative, high-performance culture grounded in ownership, rigor, and results.
- Ensure team priorities and deliverables align with business objectives and operating rhythms.
We are looking for a commercially sharp, analytically rigorous builder who thrives in high-growth, performance-driven environments. Strong candidates may include:
- Someone who has worked in Private Equity-backed businesses or startups and helped build or scale a business.
- Someone who has experience launching or building a category on Amazon (AMZ), with a deep understanding of digital shelf, search, pricing, and performance levers.
- Someone with consulting experience supporting PE-backed or high-growth consumer businesses, particularly in commercial strategy, category creation, or go-to-market acceleration.
This leader must be comfortable going deep into the numbers, challenging assumptions, and making decisive, data-informed calls. They operate with a startup mindset - scrappy, resourceful, hands-on - while influencing at a senior level.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in strategic sales, category management, commercial analytics, or related roles - preferably within consumer goods, retail, durable products, PE-backed environments, startups, or high-growth businesses.
- Proven success driving market share and sales growth through data-driven strategies.
- Strong analytical, financial, and strategic acumen; ability to convert complex data into actionable recommendations.
- Experience building or scaling a business, category, or go-to-market strategy is strongly preferred.
- Experienced people leader with a track record of developing and managing high-performing teams.
- Exceptional communication and influence skills, with experience partnering across senior and cross-functional teams.
- Passion for winning and driving performance in fast-paced, competitive markets.
- Ability to travel on a monthly basis to support retailer engagement, field insights, and cross-functional collaboration.
