Marketing Director

ABB ELIP (Electrification, Installation Products) Canada is hiring an execution-first digital creative leader to own end-to-end creation of brand and digital assets that drive measurable sell-out impact through distributors and contractor pull-through.

This is a hands-on role: you will personally design and produce the majority of deliverables while also leading creative direction, standards, and external resource alignment when bandwidth or specialized support is required.

The work model is hybrid, with 2 days per week at the office in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.

Responsibility

1) Own the Creative System

  • Lead creative strategy for launches and programs: key visuals, design systems, and scalable templates.
  • Enhance and maintain a modular template library (PPT, email, social, sell sheets, distributor assets) to reduce cycle time and improve quality.
  • Enforce ABB global brand standards while tailoring for Canadian channel realities.

2) Hands-on Digital & Performance Creative

  • Design conversion-oriented assets for web and landing pages (layouts, UI components, imagery, CTA hierarchy).
  • Produce creative email (modules, banners, responsive considerations, QA-ready files).
  • Create paid media assets (display/social variants) optimized for performance testing.
  • Package assets with tracking/variants discipline (sizes, naming, versions, UTM/creative IDs support).
  • Create and maintain technical product documentation library (catalogues, sales support, technical presentation).

3) Content Production at Scale

  • Create social assets (static + carousel + short animations) aligned to a clear editorial plan.
  • Produce short-form video and motion graphics (product explainers, “how-to”, contractor tips, launch teasers).
  • Create launch kits: distributor platform visuals, POS-ready files, presentations, one-pagers layouts.

Required experience & skills

  • 8+ years in digital design and content production (B2B/industrial/technical preferred).
  • Strong portfolio showing hands-on execution across:
    • Branding systems & templates
    • Web/landing page design
    • Email creative
    • Social + paid media variants
    • Presentations & sales enablement
    • Video/motion (at least short-form capability)
    • Practical UI/UX skills (layout, hierarchy, accessibility, basics, conversion intent).
    • Ability to manage high volume with rigor: versioning, QA, production workflows.
    • Comfortable operating with ambiguity, strong judgment, and fast stakeholder alignment.
  • Tools (typical)
    • Adobe CC (Illustrator/Photoshop/InDesign)
    • Premiere/After Effects (or equivalent)
    • PowerPoint
    • Figma is an asset.
    • Experience producing marketing content for automation/email platforms is an asset.
