We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic DevOps Co-op to join our team. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will work closely with our DevOps engineers to support the development, deployment, and maintenance of our systems.
Responsibilities
Assist in the automation of deployment processes using tools such as GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps.
Monitor and maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure).
Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to system performance, security, and availability.
Participate in the development and implementation of infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Ansible.
Support the creation and maintenance of documentation for processes and procedures.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the DevOps team.
The role involves daily (or regular) communication with pan-Canadian stakeholders.
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a Computer Science, Engineering, or related program.
Basic understanding of DevOps concepts and practices.
Familiar or working knowledge of development tools like Git, Jira, Visual Studio, Azure DevOps.
Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
