A Strategic Role at the Heart of Logistics
We are looking for an optimization specialist and expert in road vehicle problems (VRP) to join our team. Your primary mission will be to design, develop and implement effective solutions to the company's complex logistics challenges. You will work closely with operational teams to optimize delivery routes, reduce transportation costs, minimize travel times and maximize resource utilization.
Responsibilities
Develop, implement and test advanced mathematical models and algorithms to solve VRP, resource management, etc. problems.
Assess the company's logistics needs and identify opportunities to optimize transportation operations.
Work with the DevOps team to integrate solutions with existing transportation management systems.
Monitor and evaluate the performance of implemented solutions, making adjustments and improvements as necessary.
Ensure that processes and solutions developed are properly documented.
Participate in the training and technical support of end-users of solutions.
Qualifications
Master's degree or PhD in mathematics, computer science, industrial engineering or related field.
Demonstrated professional experience in the field of operations research, with a specialization in VRP problems.
Mastery of combinatorial optimization techniques, linear and non-linear programming, as well as common programming languages such as Python, C++ or Java.
Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders at both technical and non-technical levels.
Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex problems methodically.
Professional development experience of 3 years or more, ideally in optimization or logistics-related projects, including practice of software development methods and CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) practices.
Assets
Previous experience in the logistics or transportation sector.
Knowledge of industry-specific modeling and optimization tools.
