ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Developer Relations Engineer at LayerZero, you will be the versatile bridge between our technology and the broader development community. You'll contribute across various facets of DevRel, from crafting engaging content and supporting events to developing essential tooling and fostering community engagement. Your primary goal will be to empower developers to successfully build on LayerZero, driving adoption and a thriving ecosystem. You will be instrumental in executing our thought leadership strategies to enhance perception and attract new applications and developers.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Collaborate with the community on protocols, standards, and technical specifications, acting as a key liaison for developer feedback.
- Develop simple applications and proofs-of-concept with the LayerZero stack to create practical examples and continuously improve the developer experience on the platform.
- Create and deliver diverse content, working with the narrative and design teams on technical and non-technical materials, including social media posts, website copy, blog posts, and architecture diagrams.
- Manage event-based onboarding, providing mentoring, support, and guidance for developers and community members during physical and virtual events.
- Gather feedback from projects utilizing LayerZero and synthesize findings to inform product improvement for the product team.
- Own and manage relationships with external developer communities, identifying opportunities to drive awareness and usage of LayerZero.
- Drive end-to-end creation of tutorials, example applications, and event workflows, ensuring clarity and effectiveness for our developer audience.
ABOUT YOU
- 2-4+ years of experience in Developer Relations or a similar role, with a broad understanding of DevRel functions.
- Strong software development background and excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to build functional prototypes and examples.
- At least 2-4 years of experience with Blockchain, including a solid understanding of core concepts and various use cases across gaming, DeFi, and enterprise spaces.
- Exceptional content development and delivery skills, adaptable to various formats and audiences.
- Proven experience in working with developer communities and fostering positive relationships.
- Self-directed in day-to-day tasks, with the ability to independently drive projects from conception to completion.
- Collaborative mindset, capable of partnering effectively with Event Operations, product engineers, and other DevRel team members to keep examples and content in sync with releases.
