About the RoleWe are seeking a talented and experienced Design Lead to join our dynamic team at Gradient. In this role, you will be responsible for both product design and marketing design, seamlessly integrating these elements into the customer journey. As the Design Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual identity of our AI automation platform and ensuring a cohesive and engaging experience for our customers.
ResponsibilitiesProduct Design:
Lead the design of intuitive, user-friendly interfaces for our AI automation platform
Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define design requirements and deliver high-quality design solutions that ensure a seamless and cohesive customer journey from initial touchpoints through product usage
Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that effectively communicate design concepts
Conduct user research and usability testing to gather feedback and iterate on designs
Ensure consistency and adherence to design guidelines across all product features and updates. Develop and maintain design systems that support a unified experience across all customer interactions
Marketing Design:
Develop compelling visual assets for marketing campaigns, including website graphics, social media content, email templates, and digital ads
Work closely with the marketing team to understand campaign objectives and deliver designs that drive engagement and conversions
Maintain and evolve the company’s visual identity, ensuring a cohesive brand presence across all marketing channels
Design and produce promotional materials such as brochures, presentations, and event collateral
Bachelor’s degree in Design, Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or a related field
5+ years of full-time experience in product design and marketing design, preferably in a consumer product background
Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects, including product interfaces and marketing materials
Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, and InVision
Experience with user research and usability testing methodologies
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and branding
Ability to think strategically and execute with attention to detail

We typically work in-person 2-3 days a week at our HQ in San Mateo, CA

In consideration of market analysis and relevant factors, the salary range for this position is set between $160,000 and $220,000. However, adjustments outside of this range may be considered for candidates whose qualifications significantly differ from those outlined in the job description. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in our equity plan and benefits program.
