Intelcom has set an ambitious target: achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2040. Delivering on this commitment requires a comprehensive decarbonization roadmap with strong collaboration across internal teams and external partners.
We are seeking a Decarbonization Strategy Intern to support our team by contributing to the planning and implementation of projects that decrease greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and limit the environmental footprint of our middle mile operations. This is an exciting opportunity to drive climate action that shapes the future of low-carbon logistics.
Responsibilities
· Assist in planning and coordinating cross-functional decarbonization projects for middle-mile operations.
· Collaborate with operational teams to implement and monitor decarbonization initiatives.
· Track project timelines, budgets, and key performance indicators to ensure projects stay on track.
· Analyze project performance data to implement continuous improvements.
· Develop educational tools for employees and partners, in line with project objectives
· Promote sustainability initiatives both internally and externally to foster a culture of environmental responsibility.
· The role involves daily (or regular) communication with pan-Canadian stakeholders.
Qualifications
· Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master’s degree in sustainable development, engineering, business administration, project management, or a related field.
· Understanding of sustainable development practices, including decarbonization and environmental issues.
· Strong collaboration, persuasion and communication skills.
· Proactive, adaptable and solution driven.
