The Desjardins Group Data Platforms Services Department is primarily responsible for building the capabilities that support the organization’s shift to a data-centric approach. We implement the Databricks solution within the Desjardins Group data platform (an essential foundation for supporting the organization’s data strategy) to embed data and analytics into our business practices. As a Databricks platform administrator, you set up, configure and manage the new data and analytics platform. In a highly dynamic and agile multidisciplinary squad, the team is in charge of supporting the business solution development teams with the implementation of environments, code deployment and shared production infrastructure. You work in a cloud-based Azure environment, with targets built around Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Configuration as Code (CaC) and Continuous Deployment (CD). Implement, configure and integrate the Databricks platform into the organization’s technology environment
Provision the environments required for projects, based on business needs and technical constraints
Manage access, data security and resource governance on Databricks
Collaborate with the data, infrastructure and security teams to ensure that rollout meets standards
Define and apply best practices for development, automation and monitoring on the platform
Integrate Databricks with Azure services (for example, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, Key Vault) and DevOps tools for CI/CD
Develop and maintain technical documentation, user guides and operating procedures

What you bring to the table
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field
A minimum of six years of relevant experience in cloud platform administration
Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
Scripting experience: Python, PowerShell
Experience with Agile environments: Jira, Confluence
Experience with Databricks (administration, configuration, integration)
Knowledge of French is required
Knowledge of data lakehouse concepts, data warehouses and data lakes
Proficiency in Azure environments (Compute, network, security, monitoring)
Solid command of infrastructure: Proxy, firewall, Active directory, DNS, Telecommunications (network interconnection)
Knowledge of security rules configuration and implementation (RBAC, ABAC, Policy)
Knowledge of IaC tools: Terraform, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions
