Temporary position for 12 months
As a Data Scientist, Credit Risk, you assist with credit risk management analysis, disclosure, research and development. You design, apply and update mathematical models to maintain consistency and balance business needs, risk management, requirements and best practices. More specifically, you’ll work on mathematical models used to calculate regulatory capital and operational models for credit risk. More specifically, you will be required to:
Design, use and develop mathematical models for risk management and diligently prepare associated documentation.
Identify and define business needs while balancing these needs, risk management, requirements and best practices.
Lead or contribute to projects, mandates or activities in your field of expertise.
Serve as a specialist in your field of expertise for units in the organization and practitioners. Explain information in plain language that’s appropriate for the target audience to facilitate comprehension and, if applicable, decision making.
Monitor the industry to understand and anticipate trends in your field of expertise to innovate and to develop and update relevant best practices for the organization.

What you bring to the table
Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, business intelligence, economics or finance
A minimum of four years of relevant experience
Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
CFA, FRM or PRM certification
Knowledge of French is required
Intermediate knowledge of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
Proficiency with SAS, SQL and Python programming tools
Knowledge of IFRS 9 and the Basel Accords
