Role Summary: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Lead Data Modeler to operationalize and optimize our large-scale data modeling applications for our database management systems. This role requires someone with proficiency in data modeling tools including SAP Power Designer and Erwin Data Modeler and the ability to provide thought leadership to our clients about how to optimize their data models based on changing industry standards. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between existing data architecture and the future end-state architecture with the goal to improve security, scalability, reliability, performance, and cost-efficiency in a fast-paced financial environment.   

 Duties:

  • Delivering end to end data modelling for OLTP, OLAP, Master Data Management (MDM), and Cloud solutions.

  • Optimizing data models for performance, scalability and storage efficiency across multiple platforms.

  • Designing MDM (Master Data Management) models for product master data, including attributes, hierarchies, validation rules, and workflow configurations.

  • Developing source-to-target mappings and data integration designs using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) for ELT/ETL pipelines.

  • Completing models and simulations, using manual or automated tools, to analyze or predict system performance under different operating conditions.

  • Implementing data quality frameworks using Oracle Enterprise Data Quality (EDQ), including data profiling, cleansing, standardization, match/merge rules and configurations.

  • Advising customers to meet governance, architecture, process, best practices and strategic goals by involving the relevant groups within the organization.

  • Organizing, documenting, and reviewing work items in scope from technical viewpoints and approaches to ensure completeness and consistency in scoping of the project.

 

Requirements: 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or college diploma, preferably in computer science, software engineering or a related field is required

  • 7+ years of experience in design, development, testing, implementation, support, client management, project management and resource management is required

  • Proficient in data modelling tools including SAP Power Designer and Erwin Data Modeler
  • Experience with OLTP, OLAP, Master Data Management (MDM) and Cloud Solutions

  • Experience as a Data Modeler in a Credit Card and Risk / Regulatory System for Federal reporting, including CCAR

  • Experience designing and developing using Informatica PowerCenter

  • Knowledgeable about client-specific frameworks used for data ingestion

  • Extensive background in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile

  • Experience with functional testing, systems integration, performance testing, User Acceptance and application monitoring

  • Extensive experience with testing in Azure Cloud Data storage and Snowflake Data Warehouse

  • Extensive experience using advanced SQL queries 

  • Knowledge of various databases such as Oracle, DB2, Informix, and SQL Server.
