We are seeking a Data Engineering Intern to support the delivery of data platforms that power Intelcom’s decision-making. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in building data pipelines, managing cloud-based infrastructure, and working in a fast-paced, innovation-focused environment.
ResponsibilitiesContribute to the design and maintenance of databases, data warehouses, and scalable ETL pipelines.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver scalable solutions
Implement data validation, cleansing, and governance processes to ensure data quality and reliability.
Monitor and optimize the performance of data systems and proactively address inefficiencies.
Document data engineering processes, data models, and technical specifications to support platform adoption.
Ensure compliance with data security standards and implement access controls where needed.
The role involves daily (or regular) communication with pan-Canadian stakeholders.
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in data engineering, business analytics, or a related field.
Proficient in Microsoft Suite, including Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Experience with Python, or related language, for data transformation and analysis.
Knowledge of SQL, ETL and database management.
Familiarity with Cloud Technologies (Azure and AWS), Snowflake, Apache Airflow, Power BI and DBT is an asset.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects with accuracy.

Proactive and solution-driven mindset.
Strong collaboration and communication skills.
