We are looking for a skilled and motivated early-career Data Engineer with 2-5 years of experience designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines. Additionally, you will be helping provide business data analytics in collaborative team environments.
You will collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure high-quality and actionable data insights to enable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ingest raw data from MongoDB, third party vendors, and business applications utilizing various technologies including Fivetran and Hex.
- Transform data into desired structures with dbt.
- Analyze data and build reporting via Hex and Metabase.
- Develop optimizations to improve data pipeline performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Implement data quality checks and monitoring systems.
- Enhance documentation of available data to assist onboarding new users to self-service building reports.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role building data pipelines and producing data for business analytics
- Familiarity with data engineering principles
- Can write SQL queries or are familiar with MongoDB
- Understand how to develop data ingestion, transformation, and validation, preferably in Python, or a scripting language
- Experience with data engineering tools such as MongoDB, Supabase, Hex, dbt, Metabase, and Elementary.
- Have good communication skills and can work in a fast-paced and flexible team
- Are capable of making independent decisions
