We’re hiring several high-agency data analysts for the technical staff of the Office of the CEO—a small, interdisciplinary team of analysts, engineers, and strategists—to analyze and help drive Clover’s most important outcomes.

Clover is many things: a health insurance company with industry-leading clinical quality; a tech startup driving unprecedented physician engagement; and a clinical practice managing highly complex care. But more than that, it’s a wedge to change healthcare itself. As an Analyst in the Office of the CEO, you’ll have a rare chance to inform the highest-level decisions and technical initiatives in service of that change. You’ll work with a team of technologists to apply data-driven decision-making to our AI initiatives and other strategic programs, and be at the vanguard of our most crucial outcomes.

As a member of the CEO’s Technical Staff, you will:

  • Build from zero-to-one. Deliver new analyses, identify novel data sources, and solve new problems. You’ll work with data spanning clinical outcomes, member engagement, financial performance, and AI system behavior.
  • Lay foundations. Transform your analyses and reports into durable data assets that support Clover’s outcomes over the long run.
  • Learn from each other. Be part of a small, elite, engaged, collegial, supportive team that helps each other make the best decisions we can.
  • Drive strategy. Your insights and data will feed into our AI systems and decision-making, improving member outcomes, deepening leadership insight, and shaping the business.
  • Tinker. Explore what works and why. Make continual improvements throughout our data and reporting ecosystem.

Success in this role looks like:

  • First 90 days: Quickly learn Clover’s existing data systems and deliver several small, high-impact analyses prioritized by the CEO.
  • First 6 months: Settle into a longer-term area of ownership, picking one or more potential focus areas. Go deep, learn the nuance of your domains. Make your data available for both reporting and for AI applications.
  • First year: Own outcome reporting and data quality for core areas of the business that are of interest to the CEO.

You should get in touch if:

  • You have 2 or more years of experience hands-on with data. You’re very familiar with SQL and navigating data warehouses and data files.
  • You have some experience with analysis tools outside of pure SQL and spreadsheets, like Python or R.
  • You are highly practical. The most important thing is that it works for the business. The technology and data are exciting, but the outcomes are even more exciting.
  • You are humble and collegial: strong opinions, weakly-held. You like to work with other analysts and technologists, you love to share and learn.
  • You are adaptable and handle context shifts and interruptions well: while we have some strong themes to our work, we’ll also need to pitch-in in lots of different areas.
  • You reside in the San Francisco Bay Area, with the ability to work in-person 1-2 days a week preferred; but not required.

Benefits Overview:

  • Financial Well-Being: Our commitment to attracting and retaining top talent begins with a competitive base salary and equity opportunities. Additionally, we offer a performance-based bonus program, 401k matching, and regular compensation reviews to recognize and reward exceptional contributions.
  • Physical Well-Being: We prioritize the health and well-being of our employees and their families by providing comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage. Your health matters to us, and we invest in ensuring you have access to quality healthcare.
  • Mental Well-Being: We understand the importance of mental health in fostering productivity and maintaining work-life balance. To support this, we offer initiatives such as No-Meeting Fridays, monthly company holidays, access to mental health resources, and a generous flexible time-off policy. Additionally, we embrace a remote-first culture that supports collaboration and flexibility, allowing our team members to thrive from any location.
  • Professional Development: Developing internal talent is a priority for Clover. We offer learning programs, mentorship, professional development funding, and regular performance feedback and reviews.

Additional Perks:

  • Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) offering discounted equity opportunities
  • Reimbursement for office setup expenses
  • Monthly cell phone & internet stipend
  • Remote-first culture, enabling collaboration with global teams
  • Paid parental leave for all new parents
  • And much more!
