What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be  accountable  for  performing a range of complex credit management functions for a variety of credit accounts applying experience and knowledge of basic accounting principles. Work with high-level general routines and detailed work procedures but required to apply considerable judgment and discretion when determining appropriate course of action. Responsible for the fulfillment, servicing and management of authorized credit process including ensuring loan documentation is completely and accurately maintained in accordance with credit facilities.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Credit knowledge & Analysis - Knowledge and experience in Credit Analysis and Credit Risk.  Expertise of loan/security documentation, compliance, audit and control requirements. Familiarity of internal CIBC systems and applications (e.g. COINS/COLT, LAS, Content Manager, ICAP/e-diary)
  • Collaboration -  Maintain open lines of communication with assigned Credit Specialist. Regular contact with internal CIBC employees, teams and departments (e.g. Risk Management, Credit Specialists) at peer and management level to provide and receive information and escalate issues as required. Regular contact with external Solicitors and Canadian Securities Registration System (CSRS) to obtain and clarify information related to loans.
  • Compliance - Compliance with all CIBC regulatory training and ensure these programs and policies are applied consistently across the business. The incumbent is personally responsible for compliance with all such regulatory and governance programs.
