The ITO Costing Excellence Leader will collaborate closely with all costing teams across the world, commercial operations teams and functional teams within GE Vernova Hydro Power tender organization (Engineering, Sourcing, Construction and Commissioning, Planning), to review costs estimates of each offer, support the costing teams with his/her expertise and ensure compliance to our global costing process.
The ITO Costing Excellence Leader will also develop the costing expertise of the costing teams (costing methodologies, products knowledge) and manage at a global level the costing teams’ workload.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
· Secure costing quality in reviewing and approving the costing of all Hydro Power offers and monitor the project execution slippages due to ITO costs estimates issues.
· Assume a costing expert role with regional and functional leaders and coordinate with Costing and CommOps teams to share best practices.
· Challenge and support Costing teams during costs deep dives to reduce gap to close and optimize deal offering to reach competitive costs level required by our pricing strategy (target costs).
· Review tendered and executed costs trends to propose and develop actions plans to improve our ITO costs competitiveness and estimation accuracy.
· Collect and maintain historical deals costing information (tender/target costs, costs ratio indicators, technical drivers, industrial schemes).
· Animate the costing community, structure and develop costing expertise across the teams.
· Manage and balance the costing teams load across the world.
· Manage global ITO Costing process and support ITO Operations continuous improvement objectives.
· Define and monitor specific KPIs to measure progress of our organization on costing (target vs. tendered costs, tendered vs executed costs, costs variances over the years) and ensure ITO costing process compliance.
· Support Sales and CommOps teams for budgetary offers preparation.
· Support Pricing team for target price and target costs preparation.
· Participate to data quality and methodologies improvement in costing and pricing tools.
· Participate to the firming and pricing escalation process.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor of Engineering / B.Tech with 12+ years of experience in Costing, Pricing, Commercial Operations, Project Management.
Desired Characteristics
· Excellent English (written and spoken).
· Significant experience in offers and projects budgets and costs estimates.
· Knowledge of products and activities linked to the Hydropower industry.
· Demonstrated strong leadership skills and ability to influence cross functional teams at all levels of the organization to drive actionable positive outcomes.
· Be organized, autonomous, rigorous and data oriented.
